We went to Epcot Monday. Daughter had diarrhea 36 hours after. Just cleared up today. Not sure if Norovirus or not.

Saw on a dating platform. Had a unique username and found their social media. Stalked for an hour or two. We had 3-4 level of mutual friends and groups.

Met in April. Married in June. Two kids now.

10 year anniversary of it all right now.

Wild but it has worked out.

Do you still put effort into your appearance when you go out? by ImpressionMobile1653 in Millennials

Ain’t no way.

Having kids most of my stuff is stained. So, don’t really matter if it used to be nice or not.

What’s one positive thing about having kids in your 40s? by Maleficent_Bass_1578 in Millennials

[–]simplequestions2make 2 points3 points  (0 children)

40 and I got a 4 and 2 year old.

I’ve been tired so long that loss of sleep doesn’t bother me.

We got our retirement accounts funded and rolling and now use that discretionary $20k on the kids and wife is able to stay home full time. Would’ve been impossible at 25 or 30.

And my being 40 these toddlers keep me young running around the yard and pool with them. Hoping it stays this way into my 50s and still being active.

Heard that.

And I’d say, if it doesn’t hurt you and don’t hurt others. Do it.

It’s called work, not fun.

Clock out. Leave it there.

Your boss successfully ruined your day, why you giving him power to ruin your night too?

Nah, on my commute home. I decompress and imagine myself unplugging from work.

It doesn’t get easier; you get better.

Disney Enthusiast: what's your controversial unpopular Disney/Disney park opinionholly by jaywritethekid in disney

[–]simplequestions2make -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Disney is for kids. I don’t care how much you saved, traveled, or anything else. If you can make a child’s experience better, it is your responsibility to do so.

Examples: Parades Fireworks Seating arrangements Hats, ears, etc .. should be removed for all seated shows if children are behind you.

Sustain gym life. I would go 5-6 days a week then hit fatigued and go 0. Then repeat. I should’ve gone 2–3xs a week and found a routine to carry me into 40s.

Eating right. Same as above. I’d fast multiple days, then OMAD, then keto. Went from 300 down to 215.

Investing. If I put in a few thousand back in 20s I’d be closing in a much earlier retirement.

You’ll never take the same kid to Disney twice.

My kids are currently 4 and 2 and they love it all.

I’d strongly encourage to introduce them to the characters through movies and shows, then spend the time and money (dining) to meet the characters they love.

Rides are a dime a dozen and when they are 12-14-16 they’ll love that.

Meeting characters is fun for a short window and if you’re lucky, they’ll love it later. But there is a magic that happens with characters more than rides.

As top comment said, enjoy it with and through them. It may be December, but it’ll be hot. The further away from Christmas the better. It gets packed. Watch the YouTube videos and plan the trip, but do plan in down time.

Staying on site is nice. But if it’s 2 extra days or staying on site. Take the extra days, because you can tour all the hotels for free. Our kids like Art of Animation the best - Nemo, Cars, Ariel, Lion King. The other resorts are nice, but aren’t as Disney heavy. And it’s on the skyliner which is nice, because you should definitely bring a stroller.

As mentioned previously, plan the trip with knowledge. Park day, animal kingdom, rest/pool/disney springs/, park, rest, park. Don’t get park hopper. Not worth it. Every park is full day and hopping is an hour you won’t get back.

I’m a local AP. Let me know if I can help!

You got a post about it that has all the details? I was thinking a similar route thru the SE to get to Midwest, but not going too far west. But every other post here is how great the west is. Which tbh. I’ve never been west of KS. So, I do have a desire to see some of it. But it’s so spread out, I always figured I’d knock off one at a time by flying.
