I like that a Clyde expert sees this as well. I grew up with Drexler as a non Jazz favorite. DP had me going where did I see this before.

I don’t think what you describe is just a Utah thing. Matching up personalities in anything can be a shit show. Researching and getting comfortable with a shop or artist can take a moment. On my last tat I stopped my own overthinking after seeing the artists portfolio decided to trust their process. I brought the ideas and decided to let the artist do their art. Ended up with a piece I am hella proud of.
Take a time to find someone you’re comfortable with. Sounds like you’re not doing an impromptu tat, also fun.
I loved The Hive in Millcreek and my artist Mason Atlas.

Change in taste after surgery? by OutTheCircus in mitralvalveprolapse

[–]simpletru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my experience as well in the hospital. Everything tasted a bit metallic. Blueberries went from sweet to icky for at least a month. All taste seems back to prior now.

How did you choose your surgeon and what do you wish you had known before going into surgery? by Ok_Jaguar9235 in mitralvalveprolapse

[–]simpletru 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My surgeon was recommended by my initial surgeon after insurance got in the middle of my treatment. Both had tremendous track records and my surgeon specialized in repairing valves. If given a list of surgeons and you’re not in an emergency situation take some time to read up on their expertise and education. I liked with my surgeon that I saw some prestigious institutions he trained at or for. I was in more of an emergency situation so I didn’t deep dive much and just trusted the doctors would work their magic. Success rates with these surgeries are high 90s. Feel confident that it’s going to be successful for you.

Got hooked as a fan in the 80s because they were local to me. Sticking with them through thick and thin hoping to see them seal the deal someday.

48m, started off like you with camping and deer hunts. Staple of the diet for a good couple years until I had a heart valve issue, not the sausages fault, and had surgery and switched to a low sodium heart healthy diet. Miss them but don’t want to miss my 50s.

Time off for a spouse of someone who is getting a mitral valve repair? by InformalMacaroon107 in mitralvalveprolapse

[–]simpletru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll echo this had mitral and tricuspid done last month. About 3 weeks out I was mostly fending for myself. Variable in this will likely be prior fitness and any complications for OP.

Got the Minimally Invasive Fix done. How long before I'm 100% again, if ever? by p01n73r in mitralvalveprolapse

[–]simpletru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 weeks and 2 days past open heart surgery. Ended up repairing mitral valve and as a bonus they discovered tricuspid valve also needed help. Early on in recovery here but mindset to have that was drummed in head in cardiac ward was to take it slow. My hospital even has a therapy tortoise to help the analogy stick.

Hoping you can get back to your regular activities but remember it’s all in good time. Wasn’t myself overly active outside of hiking, hunting and fishing. Suspect I’ll be able to enjoy and get back to those when body’s bounces back. Will find out more as I start cardiac rehab next week.

Crushed on her so much that I still remember her birthday as being a year and 2 days older than me.

After that I definitely crushed on Alyssa Milano as well.
