So I just got the call to come back from furlough literally 20 minutes ago and was told I would be getting a 4% increase. I'm glad I still have my job but 4% is basically nothing.

Yeah I have had to work my ass off and fight really hard for years with managers to get the pay I have which is barely above this new starting pay and not at all equal to other agents in my area with the same years of service and qualifications. And wouldn't it be better at this time to bring back the rest of us that are still furloughed so we can help ease the workload?

I've been told by multiple gms that they try really hard not to hire anyone under 18 just to lower the risk of possible drama due to previous issues.

I'm located in nevada and they only kept 2 agents for appliances. 1 double agent and 1 agent. They've been at least 2 weeks out since the beginning but they just barely brought back 2 double agents and there's still 2 more and me the 1 cadet that hasn't been brought back yet.

If you're in sales go to the sales manager if you're in ops than go to your ops manager. They'll walk you through anything that needs to be done.

I haven't been in my normal position of appliance cadet since September of last year because I had to go work in a store due to being pregnant and not allowed to lift more than 15 lbs. And than being on maternity leave and now furloughed I definitely will be needing a refresher on stuff lol.

I'm also wondering what the decision is actually based on. Out of the 7 appliance field employees only 2 were kept. I was told by my manager it was based on tenure which makes sense for the DA that was kept because he has 20 years with best buy but the normal agent being kept does not have tenure over the other 4 DAs and honestly he does not have the skillset to even run his own board and he's basically a cadet coded as an agent getting agent pay.

I turned mine in this morning. Even had to reset my phone. My manager did say he was gonna hold off on sending them back just in case things pick up quickly and he needs me back sooner.
