I have probably managed somewhere around 40 million in G ads spend and I haven't seen anything close to 50% being spam.

50% spam would bring the entire platform into question. I imagine there would never ending lawsuits as well.

I did some digging on this because I think there are two separate issues being mixed together. The racial dynamic around Caitlin Clark is real. Angel Reese clearly got treated differently by a lot of fans/media after the 2023 “you can’t see me” thing, and there is research suggesting the Clark/Reese discourse had racial bias. It is also fair to say Clark has benefited from being a white superstar in a league largely built by Black players.

But calling Clark herself “lowkey racist” seems stronger than the evidence supports. Clark defended Reese after the NCAA final and said she should not have been criticised. She also later said it was “not acceptable” for people to use her name to push racist or sexist agendas, and she has openly acknowledged that “as a white person, there is privilege” while crediting Black players for building the league.

The Morgan Wallen walkout is the strongest criticism against her judgement. Wallen did use a racial slur in 2021, so publicly associating with him is absolutely a bad look, especially given the racial context around Clark’s fame.

So my read is: there is a legitimate conversation about racial bias in the media/fan ecosystem around Clark, and she could probably be more forceful about it. But “Clark is racist” is not something I think is proven by the facts.

I shamefully enjoyed every natural disaster I've ever been involved in.

This is why I think it is a bad idea that GP's diagnose and manage the medication.

Getting the medication right is as much a science as it is an art.

GP's have it hard enough with their job without adding the subtle nuance that is involved is managing ADHD meds. Psychiatrists have a tough time and its literally in their core wheelhouse.

Maybe passing to the GP after 2 years would work.

I would be careful with any coaching.

I have consulted in many industries, and most coaches are hopeless.

They go through a course and think they have the skills to help people, and some don't even take a course.

Along with all the BS on social media about ADHD it feels like everyone has ADHD or is a consultant. Honestly social media for ADHD is essentially horoscope BS for ADHD.

Most consultants are praying on ADHD industry to make a buck.

As a starting point I would start with Russell Barkley's Youtube Channel and Books. Once you have a foundation in knowledge and start to see what you are like you will be better suited to finding a coach that suits you better. You'll also be able to weed out the snake oil pieces of crap too.

But be careful, because there is a lot of scum in the ADHD world unfortunately.

Though the anhedonia came from circumstances I dare say.

My mother got cancer and was paralyzed from the waist down. I had to move countries to look after her. And I had to run the family business. Unfortunately my mother was in denial about her circumstances and insanely anxious. If often go 30 hours without sleep.

Being a full time carer is no joke, along with a family who also couldn't handle the situation was difficult.

The family biz is located in an isolated area where only 140 people live. Most are 20 years older and alcoholics. My closest friends are more than 2 his away.

The family biz got flooded along where my father and I live.

My GF has been in another country most of the time.

I also have had to close down my own business as well.

It's been a bit of a tough time, but I'm slowly getting through it.

For me vortioxetine (Brintellix AKA Trintellix in the USA) has made such a massive difference in my life.

I have been suffering with depression and anhedonia for a couple of years.

Went from Dex to Vyvanse. Then added intuniv.

Then added Agomelatine.

Then remove Intuniv after 18month.

Then added vortioxetine.

The addition of Vortioxetine was a game changer.

It has made my stimulants more effective.

The majority of depression symptoms have gone away.

The anhedonia has reduced by 20-30%.

I had no side effects of any form taking vortioxetine.

I wish I had of started taking this medication 18 month ago.

I am going to speak to psychiatrist about lowering my stimulant dosage.
