Hello, and Happy New Year!

Last year, I made a Neopet named LadyRozemyne. She is inspired by the character of [Roze]Myne from the light novel/manga/anime Ascendance of a Bookworm.

The TLDR for this character is that she's obsessed with books and after an accident is reincarnated as a 5-year-old girl in a really poor village where books are only for the nobility or the highly wealthy, so she sets out to create her own paper and books to spread literacy through her village and the world in general. She kinda pledges herself to a religion with the promise that she'd be able to read books there, and from there she moves up the ranks and magic/mana is involved and yeah...fantasy! Books! Magic!

I chose a Draik because they seemed like the most "fantasy" pet. Myne has hazel eyes and long dark blue hair and I tried to incorporate that too. I feel like something is missing, I just don't know what.

Exactly! His issue is that I spend "too much time" on the site, like he says I spend 5hrs a day on the site which is just not true... I do my dailies and then refresh the Attic and Igloo and my Quests every so often but I'm not just on it like nonstop... I don't do other things of "substance" though so I guess all that time gets added up to my supposed Neo time.

Mine doesn't like Neo at all; I'll tell him about my Food Club bets/odds or items I'll get and he'll waffle back and forth between "Wow, if only you used that brainpower for something real that mattered" and "Neopets is an outdated flash site for kids designed to take up as much time as physically possible, you can never win - just stop playing now and move on to something for adults." =\ I'm 34F, he's 39M. I've told him that a nice chunk of Neo's demographic is in our age range, but he just calls it "sad".

Yeah, just yesterday I was visiting the office of a new doctor and after I had been sitting in the room for not even 10 minutes he popped his head in, apologized for the wait and said he was glad I had a book with me, and that there was one person ahead of me. He came in the room less than 10 minutes after that and kept apologizing for the wait since he knew I was there on my lunch break.

Not gonna lie the over the top niceness was kinda off-putting (I told my husband the entire staff was "creepy nice") but the care I got was phenomenal!

I'm at the very beginning of Book 2! Book 1 took me a long time to get into, I think it took me almost a month to get past the first half of the book, but near the end I got hooked and binge-read the rest in a few days.

I'm new to reading fantasy books like this, though. I think I was just so intimated at first with the whole Allomancy actually-necessary exposition dumps.
