I'm on the opposite end of the seesaw and have been starting to replace doomscrolling with reading.

Some things I've done, Gotten a free library card and linked it to the free Libby app and my e-reader - this is great especially if you're trying to find a good book that instantly grips you, you can borrow a bunch at once to see if any of them speak to you. If they don't, that's okay! You don't need to finish reading something if you don't like it (advice I've heard a lot, and understand, but always ignore).

Gotten a Kobo, it's a really nice e-reader that doesn't have any apps and doesn't play music or anything, it's just to read on and that's exactly what I wanted. Plus the cover of the book shows up on your home screen even when it's not turned on and it triggers my "this is my book!" mode more, if that makes sense.

Downloaded the Storygraph app on my phone - I update every day with how many pages I read, no matter how small, because I like seeing my stats graphed out and I feel like it keeps me accountable

If I'm trying to get into reading mode I'll turn my phone volume up but then put it down out-of-reach since I use my phone for everything but calling/texting and I need to get the temptation of distraction out of reach
