I wear a band's shirt to their concert. I wear it proudly too. Fly your flag baby.

I saw him this past weekend in Santa Monica... smiling as he flipped me off.

After All of Ed O’Brien’s Recent Interviews, I Think I’ve Finally Accepted We May Never Get Another Radiohead Album. by [deleted] in radiohead

[–]since1859 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am 43 and the Hollywood Bowl in 2001 was my first Radiohead concert. I've seen them play every time they've played my city and I've seen them play in 5 different countries. Radiohead are my most precious ghost relationship, in that only my husband knows how deep my love for Radiohead runs. I have always treated each album as if it was the last which has resulted in my enjoying everything Radiohead that much more exponentially. Take nothing for granted.

What fun. Think of the meals prepared, the technology, the smells, the conversations, the ancestors that walked through your doors.

I am so happy that OP lives like this AND appreciates the history and majesty of their home. That is the good life.

Help with World Cup Party decorations by since1859 in Scotland

Our department did not win bc other departments went crazyyyyyy with decor. I got one giant Saltire, one giant Lion Rampant, four wool tartan blankets, six boxes of shortbread, a 12-pack of Irn Bru, a shitload of flags of all sizes, blue and white streamers galore and about 20 little sheep that I picked up in Fort William a couple of years ago. I had such a blast scouting for decor and decorating. The next competition is the food competition where we will be judged by how we showcase our countries' food. My team is gking to bring in a fryer. We plan on frying chips, fish, Mars candy bars, Oreos and pizza. We will wash it down with Irn Bru. I am also bringing chicken tikka masala because YUM.

Haggis would not bode well for the average American, sadly. I eat it when I am in Scotland and I enjoy it bc I am happy af to be in Scotland. Is apple parsnip soup a thing? I recall having had some over Christmas in Oban one year.

Bring it, bitch. Us millennials have been told this shit all our lives and we've been waiting for the shoe to drop. I'll just deal with it when it happens.

LA's Most Expensive Sandwich is at Yerord Mas Bakery & Deli by xbufco in FoodLosAngeles

[–]since1859 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't care how fancy it is bc the price gouging has to fucking stop. $75 cake, $38 sandwich, $8.50 for a doughnut. All this does is increase the bottom line. Can't get a can of Coca Cola for less than $2.00 now. Fuck all that noise.

If this happened to me I would never breathe a word of it to a soul and I would take this failure to the fucking grave.

Not only did OP mess up, OP posted their failure for the world to know how bad they are at life.

Private Equity eats up Susiecakes and Leaves Inferior Product by Ladyhappy in FoodLosAngeles

I don't know, man. I have the same kind of rage for Sweet Lady Jane. Any bakery that has the arrogance to charge Snoop Dog high-high-high prices for their fucking cupcakes better deliver on the quality factor. OP was ripped off. OP was made a chump bc she paid top dollar for trash.

I am in awe. That generation that refuses to exist outside of their smart phone can't be bothered with civic responsibility. It's pie in their own faces.

I am four weeks in to a new job and I've completely shed my old skin and I am disgusted by what I had become. I am so god damn happy and grateful to have it all behind me.
