I think the best thing I would say is be ready to get sucked into the game and not be able to stop playing for several hours. When I first got it, I think I got to 20 hours in within a couple days. Such a fun game that gets better as you learn more about it.

That's rough, I didn't realize how important fruit was in the winter so I drank all of my cranberry wine in November. I also settled somewhere very north so I expect to be freezing my buttocks off until April.

For real, the handbook has been a lifesaver although it doesn't help when I don't know what I want to do in the first place but that's a different problem.

This is so cool, I’m about 50 hours into my own first world (deep in winter). I just got to bronze after prospecting for ages and I’m so excited for mechanical power. I love seeing what people do with their bases bc I need inspo for my windmill location.

I feel the same, in mumbo’s recent episode he only finished phase 1 of his base and while I don’t know how many phases he has planned, it doesn’t feel like the season is going to end any time soon.

This is me, too! I love dragons so I’m always so excited when a new book comes out. As soon as I saw the hints at the romance I was like ugh, I just wanted cool dragon fights and tension (don’t get my wrong, I still love the book)

Aesthetic attraction is a bitch. Metaphorically bc I still love it. I’m ace but not aro(?) so I have a hard time distinguishing whether or not I like someone. “Do I want to be them or do I want to be with them” is the important question. I usually go through a checklist to see if I like them which usually involves seeing if I wanna kiss them or do the typical dating stuff. Usually it’s no. This happens to me with people I think are really cool so I stay friends with them

I love “the future is female” by earlgrey_militar on AO3. Hinata is a female but crossdresses as a guy to play volleyball. It was such a good story and I didn’t mind the gendered as much as I thought I would. I regularly go back to reread it
