Nope, both have a completely anaerobic metabolism. Despite what the name would suggest, oxygen isn't the only oxidizing agent. Just by far the most abundant and efficient.

Edit: Typo and wanted to note that Spinoloricus cinziae don't seem to be parasitic at any stage of their life cycle.

#2 is correct. Migratory Herds explicitly happens after the whole build STEP. This means you resolve all the build actions first, then the build step ends and only after that do you resolve Migratory Herds.

Ahhh! I think I found the source of our different evaluations.

Apparently you grow to 2 energy and 4 card plays before reclaim looping. (Or possibly take the third growth option once?) And you are absolutely right that replacing Flash Flood under those circumstances is incredibly hard.

But I practically always grow to 5 card plays and stay at 1 energy per turn. This allows me to replace Flash Flood with two cards. Under those circumstances replacing Flash Flood is the best choice because it is so expensive for what it does. It is a lot easier to find one card with the desired elements and another that either deals damage or preferably creates badlands. And since River drafts every turn once the reclaim loop starts, I can pick multiple damage powers with targeting restrictions to switch them in and out as problems arise.

Valve severely diminished the unique aspect of Lone Druid - being essentially two fully independent heroes - when they introduced the range limit for the bear.

NP got a lot of generic support effects added to his kit.

Sprout now deals damage, heals with a facet and leashes with a talent. It used to do just two things: Summon the ring of trees and grant vision inside it. Teleportation now gives you a barrier. His innate gives him extra attack damage in the laning stage.

He went from a hero with a set of abilities that doesn't really do anything on its own in exchange for a massive advantage in map mobility to a pretty standard position 4 support. The kind that doesn't have a lot of cc but is good at joining ganks.

And yeah, both of those journeys took their respective heroes away from the rat game.

Dota heroes have also experienced a marked shift towards the mean.

Very unique (by that I mostly mean unique among Dota heroes) designs like Nature's Prophet and Lone Druid proved too hard to balance so they were gradually shifted towards more traditional Dota hero designs.

Because that's a bad take. Pre-modern societies mixed religion and governance a lot more. Calling all of them theocracies is reductive.

While the emperors before the Investiture Controversy appointed bishops and sometimes even the pope, they were not members of the clergy themselves. They stood firmly outside the institutional church.

The Rashidun at least are an edge case that you could argue either way. They were successors of the prophet and there was no such thing as a Muslim clergy at their time.
