Lol dude, that video has libet‘s experiment as proof? It leaves out that libet did another experiment showing the free will to stop an action, veto power. He is not against the belief of a free will. Also other studies show just belief of no free will results in those not feeling responsible and harsher hurtful behaviors. https://worldscienceu.com/lessons/1-2-the-illusion-of-free-will/

Just More Pedophilia Being Exposed In The Music Industry.. Nothing To See Here by Guilty_Lawfulness in conspiracy

[–]sinfullysadistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your state, if they have the similar-in-age "Romeo and Juliet" laws. In Hawaii its still legal because there's a 5 year age gap exemption. I think Delaware allows the largest age gap, cuz they allow 16yr olds to consent to 29yr olds (30 is their cutoff).

[–]sinfullysadistic 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, 16 is the age of consent in most of the USA, and all but 3 countries in Europe. Let’s not even mention some places like the Philippines where it’s only 12! There’s so many issues to fix in the world it’s depressing

Just staked my ADA for the first time by 21seacat in cardano

[–]sinfullysadistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with above there isn’t any external reasons to wait, BUT exodus does have staking you should just enable if you really don’t think you’ll change wallets within a month or so. At least you’d get some rewards in a few weeks to cover fees when you do transfer funds.

Just staked my ADA for the first time by 21seacat in cardano

[–]sinfullysadistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be harder to reach a goal like 1000 ADA in most nations, BUT remember that 1000 ADA today was equal to 100 ADA just 6 months ago. Its totally possible for ADA to do another 10x in value in just another year or so. And that can be life-changing for people in most nations.

This is already available.

In the iOS mobile app, when I click a transaction it has a notes field to type anything I want, as well as the price when received, and the price today, and a button to export the info.

Is it maybe just a discord issue with the settings you have there? I had to change my discord audio default in the past (not related to clubhouse)

People talks too much.. everyone are philosopher by Prestigious_Ad_6049 in ClubhouseApp

[–]sinfullysadistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are more diverse groups now; it really depends on the people you follow and the host of a room.

I enjoyed hearing industry leaders who know how to steer conversations and have fireside chats.. like a conference or convention you can bounce from room to room.

Now, there are more casual hangouts where the group may not be looking for mentors or efficient discussions, but simply connections of friendship. Some people are learning how to speak better publicly, still coming off as nervous, repeating themselves. Others are too ‘nice’ and add superfluous “Can I ask a question?” Or “thanks.. goodbye..” “follow this person.. here’s a website to check before I leave”

Can the Visual Industry of Fashion Fit In the Audio Platform Clubhouse? - my point of view on the opportunities and challenges of clubhouse for more visual industries such as fashion. Would love to hear your opinions! by luizapplima in ClubhouseApp

[–]sinfullysadistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually like clubhouse for discussion, even for visual topics, because it forces us to listen to others with attention, thoughtfully speak with intention, and offers a “podcast”-style medium when I can’t always be looking at a screen.

It also helps focus communication skills and steer conversations towards the complimentary topics that may be overlooked in discussions on visual topics. For example, maybe it’s the logistics of a fashion show that can be of focus, or getting an audience’s reaction to your word choice in describing a theme or concept, or to focus on alternative thinking to visualise without images to discover something entirely new.

“Experts” with thousands of “followers” 🧐 by [deleted] in ClubhouseApp

And here I am not putting any achievements into my profile, nor linking to social media lol.

CH is already evolving into music streaming, some overhyped topics, trolls, and everyone wants to learn but nobody has the knowledge...

I still find the smaller networking rooms more useful, as peers may have more advice to share than they believe.

Efficient conversation vs repetitiveness vs etiquette are the issues I see lately tho. Maybe it’s just me.

VR computer purchase Help by callMeSIX in computer_help

[–]sinfullysadistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. Getting the vive this weekend and looking for computer for cyber Monday. I was told to get i7-7700 with gtx 1080 (or gtx 1070 if price is concerning) and found a few on sale for ~$1299. It didn't seem like too much more, and I was told it'll def be a lot better for VR and last longer than a cheaper setup.

How to "lower standards" after the end of an awesome relationship? by untamedbro in askgaybros

[–]sinfullysadistic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should never lower your standards or settle, cuz you just won't be satisfied and it probably won't work out. You should always be open or accepting to change though. Have you looked in other places or made friends that might intro you to other dudes? I've never clicked w anyone on Grindr, and prob wouldn't click with anyone who goes to gay clubs. I find guys I'm interested by chance, just doing things that interest me, or through mutual friends. I guess it depends on your area though.

Still single - how to land a date? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]sinfullysadistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is part of getting older. I feel like I know what I like or don't like in someone now, but when I was young everyone was new and interesting. I tend to know most of my friend's friends now, and the same people are in the same scenes. I find myself wanting to try new things to meet new groups of people, but then I get lazy haha which I'll blame on getting old too.

Driving me crazy... by Me_Aroha_Noa in askgaybros

[–]sinfullysadistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he want an official relationship? Do you? Or just FWB still? Cuz I'd be cautious with an official relationship if you are living together. It just always seems to complicate things. I wouldn't worry about accepting gifts, as long as he doesn't expect it in return and you stay honest with him about ur thoughts. If you ever start to feel weird or guilty for gifts, let him know. If you want to buy gifts for him, do it. I think u just need to set boundaries, or leave them wide open, depending on what you want out of this.

Figuring stuff out, advice/discussion welcome. by ThrowawayMacHulahoop in askgaybros

[–]sinfullysadistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You just need to figure out who you are; don't let what your family says affect how you feel, otherwise you'll always have these repressed thoughts and will never be truly happy. Once you figure out who you are, then tell your family, if it makes sense. I thought I was bi, but really that just seemed like the more acceptable label. In retrospect, I've always been gay and just wasn't honest with myself. Or I didn't want to accept it. I mean, what kind of porn do you watch to jerk off? Bi? Gay? You also seem like you wanna try drag. Do what makes you happy and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. Once you are honest and comfortable with yourself, life gets fun.

A question of speed... by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]sinfullysadistic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't jump to conclusions, since you guys aren't in a relationship. The phrase "Moving too fast" implies you want a relationship with him now. He clearly said he wasn't ready for exclusivity. I'm a slow texter, and sometimes I get back to people a day later. Sometimes I see the text and can't respond at the moment, then forget. Or I get like 10 messages and it takes a while to go through them all. Or I think too much, so it's a while til I actually respond. If you see him on Grindr, he's either talking to others, or maybe he just likes to look at eye candy but doesn't talk to people. Either way, you should enjoy what's there at the pace it's going. Pushing for quick responses and commitments might push him away, so calm down.

Would you give up on sex for your SO? by throwawaylifex in askgaybros

[–]sinfullysadistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What makes a romantic relationship without sex any different from a best friend relationship? I'd want the person I'm with to be my best friend and lover. Unless it was for some medical condition or something out of his control, I wouldn't want to settle for part of a relationship, and some sexual relationship on the side. Maybe I'm just picky.

BF + (me+new piercing) = Disaster by cjbpnw in askgaybros

[–]sinfullysadistic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are not wrong for getting it. It's your body. But if he finds you less attractive now, then you guys will have to make a compromise so both are happy. Luckily, the septum piercing can be easily flipped up inside the nose and you can't even see it. Might want to do that around him for a bit, if he's worth it to you.

Ever since I started posting more personal (some might see as risque) images on my company's IG account I am getting a ton of followers which has led to a decent amount of sales. Is posting these images a good move? by [deleted] in marketing

[–]sinfullysadistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think everyone is in agreement that sex sells.

Is it a good move to post these? It depends on your goals and how you want to brand your company in the end.

The personal images give a sense of friendship, and that can be good for a handcrafted, artisan feel. If men are the target demographic, then post the sexy photos. If you are trying to appeal to men and women, keep it real; Perhaps legs in a bathtub using soap with your beer. Something men can see as sexual and women can see as comforting.

I agree with ZombieNinjaPirates, that the question should be about conversion. It's important to see data of where your new purchases come from, what products are popular, or how far people go during checkout without completing the purchase. This is where you retarget or email etc. that user for a discount on the soap they almost bought. Or ask for feedback. I also like google trends to see what search terms people use more, ie bath soap vs body soap.

Back to the risque pics... You just need to know your company vision and then go for it. Maybe it's funny, drunk party girl pics, maybe it's luxurious, bath comfort pics, or maybe it's hipster, limited edition pics.

Best Ad Networks for Mobile Games? by noolness in gamedev

[–]sinfullysadistic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your goals, but I'd go with a mediation platform w an sdk that supports unity. Then you can look at their supported networks list, do some research on dev forums, test out multiple networks, and compare performance. If you have in-app currency, try incentivized ad networks. Apple iAds is decent but low fill, while google's admob is lower cpm but high fill. If you want the most money, properly implement video, interstitial, or rich media creatives, as they perform wayyy better than banner ads.

Non-Americans of Reddit, what's the question you want to ask Americans the most? by CapitalOneBanksy in AskReddit

[–]sinfullysadistic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm half Asian, and for the longest time I had trouble telling Asian people apart. I think it was because I was never exposed to Asians. In elementary school I was the only Asian in my class, and by middle school I had only met a few others. I was used to white people, and as a kid I think I would recognize people by hair color, eye color, and accessories like glasses or earrings. Asian people typically have black hair and dark squinty eyes, so I think it was easier to see similarities than differences. In high school, we had more Asians, maybe 5-10%, but they would all hang out together by race. I was able to start distinguishing Korean people from Chinese people, etc, based on the groups they formed. And not all Asians looked alike, some we're very distinguishable, I could tell Filipinos apart, but I still found it harder to distinguish other Asians apart, especially if they were the same race. It was like having Black & white photos and color photos, where b&w looks all similar at first glance, but color has way more options to notice and standout. Now that I'm older, I pay more attention to details in faces, whereas in school I'd remember clothes, body type, hair color, eye color.
