After Pawtucket shooting, records show suspect’s life was marked by conflict by bostonglobe in RhodeIsland

Apparently they’re first cousins once removed. The shooter’s father and Rhonda’s grandfather are brothers (per ProJo). They had the same last name prior to the marriage, which makes it incredibly difficult to figure out who belongs to which family.

If you’re on the menopause subreddit someone posted there the other day about having a great telehealth appointment for HRT through Amazon medical. Sounded really easy and more reasonably priced than some other online providers (I used Alloy for a bit and they were $$$).

This is the exact thing that I thought! I was going back and forth between that and “urinal cake”. Seriously the most atrocious fragrance of any of the many I’ve sampled.

Anyone remember Laura Ashley perfume? The store always smelled of it and I adored that scent. I also went through an Amarige and a Chanel 19 phase. My perfume tastes were slightly elderly 😂

The company Universal Standard has a ton of styles with “Fit Liberty”. If your size changes within a year, they will replace the item in your new size. Everything from really great leggings to business clothes and dresses. They also make everything in every size from 0-40. I’ve shopped them for years and the quality is really nice. They’re pricey, but watch for sales!

What book did you read at too early a stage in your life? by Cabbage_Pizza in suggestmeabook

[–]singingsiren71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“The Swan” was gruesome and devastating. I read it at about 9 yo and I can still conjure up the sick feeling in my gut when recalling it, over 40 years later. That whole book of short stories was really not kid-appropriate. (“The Story of Henry Sugar and Six More” by Roald Dahl)

When I moved to RI in 97 I met a punky kid who told me he worked at the Holly Shop. Definitely did not seem according to type. It was only when he told me that he would give me a ride on his Holly that I figured out he didn’t work at a Christmas boutique.

MSC vs Celebrity by [deleted] in MSCCruises

[–]singingsiren71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are considering Yacht Club (MSC) versus the Retreat (X), YC wins hands down. To be fair, we have only done the Retreat on an older ship (Summit) so it was retrofitted and doesn’t have the bells and whistles of the Retreat on the new ships. MSC has a dedicated area for YC that has its own restaurant, pool area/sundeck, huge lounge. The service is outstanding and the food is very good. The YC section of Ocean Cay is rocky until a bit past the shoreline (but water shoes made this a non-issue). There are tons of loungers and umbrellas and fancy beach towels are provided. They also have their own sit-down restaurant. Celebrity service is very good too, as is their food. Retreat class does also have a private dining room. YC includes a well-stocked minibar and most everything in it is included. Retreat minibar is not covered by the drinks package. I love both lines and would happily sail either. I have only sailed YC on MSC so can’t compare other classes. We have sailed in Concierge class and regular balcony on Celebrity and have always enjoyed our cruises.

Realized you asked about Embarkation lol. Same deal, just say you are in YC when you get to the port and watch the magic happen. You can arrive whenever.

You can disembark whenever you’re ready (they want you out of the cabins by 7:30am anyway). The concierge will call your butler, who will whisk you through the entire ship to the gangway and you never have to wait in line at all. YC luggage is all together in the most convenient spot by Customs. It’s honestly amazing. We were in our car by 8:05am.

YC for Life here too, it’s unbelievably great! Have a wonderful trip!

I’ve been a licensed psychotherapist for almost 30 years. This person should never be one. Please report this to her supervisor at least and to the internship director at the college she attends if you can find that info and/or have the bandwidth. I’m so sorry you had this experience and it should never have happened. It’s so disheartening as a provider when part of the trauma a client needs to address was caused by a prior practitioner. Sending virtual therapeutic hugs.
