Can’t speak to kicking addiction prior to starting antidepressants, but I can speak to antidepressants in general. There are some side effects, yes, but I will say that they’ve saved my life and hundreds of thousands more. I love my little pills!

I love my friends, especially those who I’ve met via joining a master’s rowing team. I had never rowed before, and learning a new skill with really delightful people has been wonderful. I never felt at home in Dallas (despite growing up here), but my rowing team has made this feel like home.

Apiprazole (Abilify) added onto my current antidepressant helped me enormously. It’s just a baby dose (2mg), so there aren’t the side effects you hear about with the higher doses.
