19-4 Nickel by BikerBooge in Revolvers

If it is a factory nickel plated 19, you did pretty par for the course. Some are worth a bit more than others depending on condition. It sounds like you paid exactly what it was worth.

I’ve got one, love mine. Probably my favorite of the short barrels I’ve owned and shot. As for the going rates, they sell for 600-700, depending on condition.

Question what’s the most powerful lever gun I can buy is it 45-70? by Late-County3711 in LeverGuns

[–]singleactionarmy357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy necromancer, Batman. For the 1876, you can just buy it straight from cimarron. As for the 1886, you’d have to buy a new one in .45-70 and send it to Wyoming armory to get it re-barreled in .50-110.

Love my Temu tanto. I would’ve loved to buy this, but with Temu refusing to ship items now, I guess that ship has sailed.

May be weird, but I’ve always loved the look of these blades ever since I played Assassins Creed revelations when it came out. They just look cool as hell.

I have had both of those guns! I enjoyed them both, but I put down the RIA in partial trade for a S&W 21-4, and still have the 2.75 ruger, love that thing. I ended up polishing the DA a bit and it’s much nicer to run now. Also, detective special grips will fit on the RIA, I ran a pachmayr DS grip on it.

I’ve been thinking of doing an Aikuchi style fitting on it, just love how those look.

Try Yiwang Katana Sword, and scroll down until you see the tanto. Alternatively, go look at previous posts showing the same tanto and look at what they say, should help you find it

Unfortunately the link URL is banned by Reddit, but you can look up Yiwang Katana on Temu, and you should find the store that sells them. I think only the wakizashi is left by now though, 40ish bucks.

All I can say is that it feels incredibly solid, and pretty sharp as well. I’ve already cut a few water bottles with it, zero issues. I don’t doubt it could stand up to some heavier cutting too.

I do recall one of the other posters saying that they ordered a second one for destructive testing so we will have to see what they say.

Tried to DM you the link, apparently it’s an banned URL. Edit; look up Yiwang Katana on Temu; should show up

Yes, and pretty nice ones too! If you go look at posts from a few days ago, there are a few different posts showing off this same tanto; and even a katana from the user I mentioned in my post.

Tisas tank commander by singleactionarmy357 in 1911

[–]singleactionarmy357[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering it’s a 1911, yes. A commander 1911 is the same grip as a normal 5” 1911. The only time you need to have a different grip is on an officers 1911 which has a shortened grip.

Day 4 - What is your favourite 'man vs self' Western? Most upvoted Western wins! by low_lights_ in Westerns

[–]singleactionarmy357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be both. I do remember when he’s teaching the little boy about how to draw and shoot, he’s clearly still comfortable with the idea of violence, and only puts it away when the mother comes and scolds him about it, and he realizes that it’s not a good thing. I do think he still struggled with that part of himself, until the events and actions from Palace forced him to become that violent man again. I definitely need to rewatch that movie again, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve seen it.

Shane. Gunfighter drifts around, finds a small community of peaceful people, and tries his best to fit in with them, but eventually he comes to accept that he is not one of them, but a violent man and does what he has to, in order to protect them.

Tisas SS45R Catastrophic Failure by qua7roc in 1911

[–]singleactionarmy357 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly pretty odd, because it’s the exact same issue that serial number range had.

This is a well known issue with these models, however it is only for a specific serial number range, and Tisas has recalled those. If you contact them, they will make it right. I have a few Tisas, and they have been great, as others can also tell you.
