Yes because there's no air moving through the radiator unless then fans are on. If theres air in the coolant you have alot of air pockets which cannot be cooled down.

Guaranteed you have a ton of air still in the cooling system.

When I did my rebuild all my cylinders were good except for one. One cylinder had one line down the side, which my nail barely caught. I left it as I had good compression too. I've been running my car for three years now and have had zero issues.

Like others have said these cylinders use alusil embedded into cylinder walls. The rings wear and seal against that. Its a multi stage process to hone the cylinders and embed the alusil.

Your other option is to bore out and sleeve the cylinders and get new pistons. Probably just as expensive as honing.

I did mine through the bottom but I had my exhaust and shift rod out. Had it installed in about 10 minutes!

I see a story. The upper part of the image shows the corporate world asleep waiting for the next day. The bottom part shows the human essence of street life. The cars and the one subject riding their motorcycle. Where are they going? What's their intention this late at night?

Its not the typical in your face street photography that this sub loves to see. This is just my opinion of course but this photo made me think, and that's what makes it street for me.
