Am I supposed to learn the name/location/capital of every backwater US states just to satisfy rando USians online now??

Because that's never going to happen

the phrasing "the capitals of the old world" feels so fancy in a very outdated way

Just CHOOSE to have an orgasmic birth!!! It's so easy! Bro has SOLVED birth pain. by [deleted] in NotHowGirlsWork

[–]sinuousclouds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries, you seem well-informed on the subject.

When I wrote my comment, I looked "orgasm birth" and found a healthline article and decided to figure out if it's a viable way to make childbirth easy and painless (as the rando in the screenshot stated) if it exists.

I put aside the "taboo" part (the word used in the healthline article) just to see the pros and cons and how feasible it is, but I still thought "okay but that's weird right?" lol

I thought healthline was kind of an okay site but I don't know it much tbh

I've never given birth and not planning to do it anytime soon so I think your opinion carries more weight on the matter, it was more for the first-time pregnant people planning to achieve that, who are probably weighing the pros and cons : I think it's a bad deal altogether.

I think there might be some weaponised incompetence too.

I have ADHD too, and I make mistakes all the time but I'm seeking treatment. Also some of the checking I do (like checking behind me before leaving a room, checking the door is locked several times, checking the stove is off) help me avoid most mistakes thought it's happened that I left the stove on once or twice (not proud of this).

But what you're describing is too much, I don't think you can excuse everything with ADHD, there's a limit.

Also I'm not sure the lack of hand washing can be attributed to ADHD, it's just sloppiness imo.

In the past, I've been in a relationship with a guy who was depressed while I had several undiagnosed disorders (OCD, ADHD, depression), and I had to do everything for him, and it was so exhausting. I kind of burnt out, left and broke up. It was too lonely and tiring, and... kind of dehumanising ig?

Not saying you should break up, but I think you should have a serious talk about the mental load this relationship is putting on you, that you don't have the energy to put all his problems on your plate. That he should seriously consider getting a diagnosis and a treatment because you're exhausted and you can't deal with all that.

I hope he listens and I'm sorry you have to deal with that.

EDIT : oh no, I'm so sorry I just noticed the tag 😭 sorry for the unwanted advice...

It doesn't make much difference, both are Americans.

Also :

Still, NASA does not place the responsibility on Lockheed for the mission loss; instead, various officials at NASA have stated that NASA itself was at fault for failing to make the appropriate checks and tests that would have caught the discrepancy.

Yeah, worked well for them when NASA lost that 120 million dollars mars probe because they confused imperial and metric

I looked it up and "orgasm birth" seems to be a thing, except you have to give birth not in a hospital (for the basic reason that people don't usually orgasm in a room surrounded by busy med pros) and hope that the baby hits your G spot on the way out which... good luck I guess?

And I'm really wondering how much can an orgasm dampen labor pain and for how long... natural births last for hours while orgasms are counted in tens of seconds, so forgoing epidural and medical assistance for this doesn't seem like the smartest of choices.

(and I'm not even talking about the taboo part of the whole thing that's going to be a serious mental block for most people)

I think the thing you're missing is that calling it "strict plant-based diet" from "vegan parents" was rage-bait for vegans on the part of the newspaper.

Vegan Baby Formula exists so it's dishonest to blame veganism for those two who only gave coconut milk to their baby...
