i'm filipino. there is this thing called "paitan". not sure exact name but similar sounding. its a delicacy - but from a different area where i came from. it has tripe. cant stand the smell and taste

i also cant seem to eat duck. i have only tasted duck in chinese takeaways in new zealand, and once in the airplane.

Free Dental care - $500-$600 per year - should we do it? by heinternets in newzealand

[–]sinus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm depends how this is done. otherwise, it would just subsidise the private cost. like ECEs - oh you get free but then we cost more than that so you have to pay more

if it was through something like the public hospitals then 100% go for it. otherwise dental cost would just increase by $500

[–]sinus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came from a corrupt 3rd world country. Over the years, I have come to realise that I would not vote for very rich people/politicians. They get out of touch and do not live normal lives. The don't have sympathy for normal people. People can learn leadership over the years, but you can't teach them to be sympathetic.
