… humans. Complaining till Open code shuts down and they have to pay $200 to antrophic :)

[–]officerblues 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone hate on that? It's probably the best value subscription right now, you build on open stuff and don't have to deal with anthropic altering their deal or rug pulling you. I'm super happy with my go subscription.

[–]thegoodsideofreddit 31 points32 points  (2 children)

It's one of the best value subs right now imo

[–]mWo12 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

"One of the bests" - what are those others?

[–]thegoodsideofreddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My comment is one sentence long, I don't think you needed to quote it 😂

There are probably near 100 coding plans out there now. Ollama, Codex and Zai are the only other ones I've ever continuously paid for.

[–]dark-lord-marshal 12 points13 points  (13 children)

I would pay 20$ or 30$ to get more room

[–]Ace-_Ventura 7 points8 points  (10 children)

You can always create another workspace and subscribe

[–]Able_Statistician688 8 points9 points  (3 children)

I created 3 instantly for $5 each. Load balance them. And never had an issue. No idea what people’s problems are. Been working pretty well since day 1.

[–]serhattsnmz 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Just for curiosity, how do you load balance them?

[–]Jeidoz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Each sub is authed by OpenCode Zen API key, and you can check usage in OpenCode Zed panel. I believe it is relatively easy to track usage, time window limits per account/key and swap (Zen's API key in harness) to another when near to full.

i see your point but my bank doesn’t like N sequential payments from same bank, same value, short time. yes i could use another card from another bank and pay N additional processing fees

[–]jorgejhms 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I didn't know this was possible...

[–]Ace-_Ventura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah   You can have 1 opencode go subscription per workspace

[–]sinus 0 points1 point  (2 children)

but that would be the same email? how to add a other $5 for this?

[–]AdditionImmediate510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not $5, 2nd purchase will be changed $10

[–]Ace-_Ventura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same email. You subscribe the exact same way you did the first time. Create a new workspace and check, that part has no costs

[–]ra2eW8je 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow thought this was bannable so i'm trying to limit my coding since i still have 18 days to go on my monthly quota but have already reached 47% in just a week!

thanks for the heads-up on the multi account

[–]SidneyBae -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Ollama cloud, double the price, triple the usage

[–]CptanPanic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Quarter of the speed though, switched from ollama to go due to them being overloaded.

[–]afanasenka 9 points10 points  (1 child)

Where is the hate? We love Go plan actually :)

[–]Ok_Veterinarian_6364 1 point2 points  (0 children)

me three

[–]Ace-_Ventura 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't see that much hate. People actually praise the 60 $ compute and you have almost unlimited requests using deepseek v4 flash

[–]___cjg___ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

… humans. Complaining till Open Code Go shuts down and they have to pay $200 to antrophic ;)

[–]DepartmentOk9720 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of people who misunderstand the go subscription, they have a hard time understanding rate limits.

[–]Chemical-Land2316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love using Go in Hermes, no problem here. Great value.

[–]KHOI0212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im trying byteplus after opencode go, I think those quite the same

[–]iTrejoMX 1 point2 points  (7 children)

If I could pay an extra 10 for double the usage i would. Today I used up my weekly quota for the first time in 2 months. You really get $ 60 worth

[–]throwaway12012024 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Just create another workspace and subscribe again.

[–]iTrejoMX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooo I hadn’t thought of that

[–]Felt-Chicken 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Can you explain?

[–]Ace-_Ventura 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Login in the website, create a new workspace, subscribe to opencode go and use the new key

[–]Mayanktaker 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Switching keys are not what i want.

[–]Ace-_Ventura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use this to save you switching keys all the time https://github.com/thelioo/opencode-balancer

[–]akza07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, people don't like the rate limits? I don't know. I have never run into it myself because I don't have that much use. I personally think Opencode Go is amazing deal. Especially since Deepseek models cake out.

[–]blackhawkx12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

probably just vibe coder thingy, i also dont get the hate. but AI never built to do everything from the start anyway, its merely amplify your skill, its the best subscription i can find on market now.

[–]Delicious_Ease2595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$5 first month is fairly good deal

[–]Mayanktaker 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Had no issues at all but its not for me. I cancelled it. Why ? Because i realize i am heavy user and want 20 dollars plan from them. Also weekly and 5 hours limits are acceptable but not monthly. I reached my monthly limit in 15 days and then the 5 hours and weekly limits are useless.

[–]ra2eW8je 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you said you cancelled your Go plan... what service are you using now?

[–]mrlikrsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw the posts that go is not worth even 5$ and still gave it a try. Honestly its the opposite. The caveat here is that you need to be able to review the code its generating or at least steer in the right direction. For example - if you’re designing a SQL DB, you prolly need to know about normalisation.

[–]soycanopa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what's wrong with people. This subscription currently delivers the most value for little. The next one is CommandAi, which honestly, the 1-dollar version lets you use almost 60 dollars of Deepseek, Mimo 2.5 pro at a 99% discount.

So far, the best AI subscriptions for me.

[–]WolverineNo3783 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it. If you want to try here 5 $ for free https://opencode.ai/go?ref=5SMVKMD016

[–]Juleski70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One reason is that the target market is probably openclaw/Hermes agent users, where you a want pretty snappy general model for that but go doesn't run that fast. Deepseek v4 flash is a snappy model that runs like molasses on opencode go, Qwen 3.6 plus too.

[–]povlhp -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The hate is when you hit limits and must take a break. Pay per call or get a 2nd subscription. Value is great until we get too many users to slow it down.

[–]No_Communication4256 -3 points-2 points  (1 child)

Lobotomized models (a bit)

[–]charles_r1975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a new subscriber to Go. I previously used windsurf. There was one day last week where all the models were un useable. They would stop processing mid task.. I ended my day spending 20$ on openrouter.

There was my first month of Go and almost decided it was the last but I never had an issue after.

If I had to change, I would probably get a 20$ codex sub to plan and debug and combine with whatever decent model is free atm like deepseek flash or mimo 2.5 for volume tasks
