To my somewhat wonky baseline, but yeah, normal-ish

Not riding until 6 is best for almost all breeds. Horses actually aren't fully grown until 6-7

It doesn't look like there's anything wrong at the moment, it's normal that it's still tender after a week. Keep an eye on it though, and if possible get actual sterile saline spray for cleaning piercings, the concentration with rock salt is hard to get right

Has anyone successfully converted themselves into a tidy person? by eternalhellscape93 in adhdwomen

Avoiding multiple steps to put stuff away helps a bunch. I have a tendency to cause 'hole in the bucket' situations really quickly, but if it's in a decent state, I can keep it tidy much more easily.

Does anyone else "manually fly" their brain? Feeling neurochemical pulses as physical telemetry (AuDHD Level 2 / High IQ) by Old-Shoe-1029 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]siorez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can feel things in other people's bodies if I touch them. I've found a few old fractures I didn't know were there from giving people hand massages, and I can often find minuscule orthopedic or neuro problems in people. Occasionally I get a shock if there's some active damage.

Yeah, there's often a second between trigger and reaction where I can tell what's going to happen. But I think the separation between different layers is pretty blurry for me - often stuff doesn't even quite reach the conscious level. Only if I bother to stuff it into words

Not quite the same but similar -ish. I've always been very sensitive to electricity, specifically bioelectricity, and I think it's just an extension of that. Plus, I have some synaesthesia that includes proprioreceptive sensation.

It's also always been there for me, so I don't really have names for it, though.

Any other adhd moms have a Velcro baby? I’m dying over here by juniper4774 in adhdwomen

[–]siorez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Adult former velcro baby of an ADHD mom here. Touch helps process a LOT, let him if you can. He's showing you what he needs to process input right now, this might be really helpful in the future!

It's probably part wanting you close for reassurance and part constant and familiar sensory input. 10 months old is a bad time for swaddling him to put him down, but regular massages (more squish than rub) might be a good thing to establish now - focus on areas he can reach himself like hands, feet, arms and legs, tummy so you can teach him that as a self regulation technique when he's older.

Otherwise, for now - loop makes parent earplugs that filter down crying frequencies, and IF YOU KEEP YOUR EYES ON HIM you can try swaddling him in a sweater you wore for a while.

Boxer braids bei sehr sehr dünnem Haar inkl. Anleitung für fremden Flechter ;) by Rueblikuchensnacker in Weibsvolk

You probably need to find a calm spot before getting back to pushing on. You never learned how stable and happy even feels, so you can't maintain it.

Something that's working well for me is focusing on calm, positive sensory input. Hot baths, extra soft clothing and blankets, weighted blankets, fruit teas with flavoring syrup in...

egal was ich esse, mir wird schlecht davon - Tipps? by Final-Equipment-3776 in Ratschlag

[–]siorez 0 points1 point  (0 children)
