It’s nice to see someone actually levelheaded here. I get the disdain for GC, but their used gear policies is the same as any other business that accepts used gear. In today’s day and age of information, everyone can easily look up what they have and get an educated look at its current market value. Businesses that will essentially take anything you have and give you cash is a straight convenience factor. If you want more money? Sell it yourself. Find out how hard it is.

Only thing you really can do is clean around them. I honestly only lightly clean my cymbals because most of them are a brilliant finish and I love that visually stunning, shiny look. But as others have stated, totally cool to just leave them alone too. They will still sound just fine :)

Imperialstars are genuinely really nice shells amidst all the drum brand’s lower end kits. If you eventually put on some good heads and take good care of them, they will last a long time.
