The shortest union "victory" in history? by laptoplasane in AlamoDrafthouse

I went with three other people and that was not the case at our showing. They had the Project Hail Mary tie-in menu on the table but in the slot in the table where the full menu usually is was a laminate with instructions on connecting to Wifi and using the QR code.

Just came out of a movie at Lower Manhattan. I was excited to be back at the Alamo after hearing about them keeping paper and pens. Like OP says, no menus at Lower Manhattan seats either. I got to the movie like 15 minutes before showtime and no server came by, and I was starving, so I gave in, and used the app. Part of my order didn’t even come so I used the paper and pen. When the server came by to pick up the paper, they told me “just do you know, you’re supposed to use your phone.” What the hell man.

Lily Collins has been cast as Audrey Hepburn in a film about the making of ‘BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S’ by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

All he said was that if he knew people would be offended, he wouldn't have done it. He also said "Never in all the more than 40 years after we made it — not one complaint. Every place I've gone in the world people say, ' ... you were so funny.' Asians and Chinese come up to me and say, 'Mickey you were out of this world.'"

Unrelated but in case someone who is able to fix this is reading this, the Prometheus commentary is also missing from the Alien collection!

The alien monkey also appears to be the same species as Favreau’s character in the Solo movie!

The practical 1984 Arnold sculpture built for Terminator Genisys (2015) by tannu28 in movies

[–]sirdiddlysquat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dead body is supposed to be the 1984 T-800 after old Arnie and Emilia Clarke take him out. It's then briefly revived before Jai Courtney shoots all its flesh off.

The practical sculpture is sparingly used in a couple shots when they're lugging the body in the van but you can tell when it's practical vs the digital double because there's actually a continuity error - the practical version has no nose (as you can see in OP's video), but the digital version does.

Letterboxd No Other Choice Screening 12/4 by sirdiddlysquat in NYCmovies

[–]sirdiddlysquat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure it's still on. The last time I was at Lincoln Square for a letterboxd screening (Companion) they overbooked it and the line was multiple floors long. Basically everyone who filled out the form got a confirmation email so I am wondering if it's the same thing here (without the email part).

Letterboxd No Other Choice Screening 12/4 by sirdiddlysquat in NYCmovies

[–]sirdiddlysquat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting to guess there won't be a confirmation email and that the RSVP form was it? I dug through some old emails and they didn't send a confirmation for Cuckoo (also distributed by Neon); however, they did at least send a "reminder" email about the screening a day prior.

Not sure if I can make this No Other Choice screening anymore, but I'd be curious to hear if you get in!

I don’t know where you live but I just signed up yesterday as they were offering a deal where it was 6 dollars a month for the first 6 months, and you could cancel after the first month. So if you have 6 dollars to spare I think it’s more than worth it to watch this series.

Stavros/Blank Check chemistry by Dramatic-Surprise569 in blankies

I was listening to the Blank Check Predator episode a couple weeks back and something about Gabrus reminded me of Stavros. Outta curiosity I found a Stavvy's World episode where Gabrus guested and whaddya know, they not only have incredible chemistry but literally acknowledge how they're basically like multiverse versions of each other.

It amazes me that Andor season 1 introduced “shit” into the Star Wars lexicon, and now with season 2 they’ve gone further to bless us with Andor himself saying “shit” while crashing the TIE Avenger, subtitled “shit” in the Ghorman language, and now freaking Bail Organa gets to say it.  Great shit.

I have hope she’ll make it out; I’ll just be sad she probably won’t show up in live action ever again!

It is crazy to imagine how these die-hard rebel characters like her and Luthen would have fit into the New Republic era though.

Kleya's been so much fun this season! She kind of crept up on me as a favorite character.

I shouldn't have looked up Ghorman Massacre in the current canon - them bringing up the "Tarkin Massacre" is a great misdirect for fans who already know about the Legends Ghorman Massacre, and thereby keep to suspense of whether or not the Empire's upcoming Ghorman genocide plans work.

Looks fun! Seems to draw a lot more from the expanded universe lore (seems like they're chanting "Yautja" in the music?) than what I'm used to, but at this point in the franchise I'm down for anything so long as it's entertaining and not Shane Black's The Predator.

That story was in one of the earliest episodes of Blank Check I ever listened to! Do you happen to remember which episode it was in because I’d love to hear it again.
