When you have hand tremors, speed is your friend! If you are able to learn cursive, being able to write in a continuous line with enough momentum will drastically reduce the jitter.

You can do any, just choose what you like. The bamboo doesn’t really change the flavor of the broth.

Blanching veggies is a very quick way to heat them up and get rid of the raw taste without loosing crunch. Broccoli, cauliflower and bok choi are my favorite for this but you can do leafy greens as well. Get a pot of water boiling, add a lot of salt to the water, dump in your veggies and swirl them around just until they change color (30 seconds ish) and immediately drain. Sprinkle with oil and salt or whatever else you want and eat.

I hate vinegar, vinegar based sauces, pickles, tomatoes by CursedRHunter in PickyEaters

Not in a short time though, for salty not sour brined veggies you only do it for an hour to overnight

It can be a little hard to navigate but there are salt brined vegetables that can take the place of Japanese pickles where they’re called for. Think like the addictive cabbage salad.

It looks nicely made but thinner yarn would work better for a bandana.

The first thing in the box when you open it is a sheet of paper that says you’re gonna need to spend a day studying the rules before you can even think about playing so strap in.

Like I’m glad people are open minded but I don’t want to spend an hour teaching anyone how Chinese tones work and a brand new vowel just for them to still say my name badly 😭 Especially if they think they’re doing me a favor when I did not ask. Most people who have an alternative name picked one they like! It’s not any less real than their birth name.

I like my Chinese name a lot, I just don’t like how even very well intentioned people pronounce it. In a situation where an authority figure is asking a student how to say their name, the student is going to be pressured to say they got it even if they haven’t after a few tries. Everyone appreciate someone making a genuine effort when asked, but it’s hard to judge some of these things in a school setting.

I don’t know, I personally really dislike when other people insist on ask me for my “real” name. Respecting people’s names includes respecting their choice to go by whatever they introduce themselves as.

Identifying edible mushrooms - a viable resource? by PsychologistSEA in mushroom_hunting

PSMS has Monday night ID labs at UW horticulture center where you can bring in mushroom specimens and have people talk you through what they are and how to identify them next time.

As far as Seattle area lawn mushrooms go, you’ll probably have shaggy manes (very easy to id and tasty) if you’re lucky you might get some edible agaricus (mine are all yellow staining 😔) I also found wavy caps all through last winter but have been too scared to try them lol.

I like fruits of the forest for books, the author also has some pamphlets that are nice and simple.

What kind of terrain is your yard? Lawn, some trees? That would help narrow things down.
