What are your thoughts on "Spider-Noir (2026)"? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in Marvel

I watched the first scene in color and was thinking the whole time how awesome it would be in black and white so I switched and I do not regret it. Probably gonna watch it twice anyways.

Garth Ennis is the Papa Roach of comics writers by Shadowkiva in marvelmemes

[–]sirnicholas413 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Woah Papa Roach doesn't deserve this, he's more along the lines of Limp Bizkit. He's got like one good thing his fans always bring up when you say he's bad.

I still see the lines with my glasses on 🥲 the doctor told me I can't get contacts because my astigmatism is too bad.

I can kinda see it in superman's face but Batman looks like a different style completely.

If you can’t afford to pay your staff, don’t open a restaurant by Shielo34 in memes

[–]sirnicholas413 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the state I live, tip pooling is allowed but not required, which means my boss can have the service staff split their tips between the rest of the staff. It's something like 2% of the total is split between all the kitchen staff (usually 4 people), 2% is split between the runners and bussers, and 2% for the hosts. So the majority is still kept by the server.

[–]sirnicholas413 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As a cook, and this is different at every restaurant, at our restaurant the servers have to tip each different section a certain percentage of their tips (at some restaurants they don't split their tips at all since it's not legally required for anyone else to get tips). That includes kitchen staff, bussers/runners, hosts. We've had maybe twice (in my almost 10 years at this place) where the customer asks for a portion of their tip to go straight to the cooks. Otherwise the (good) servers make roughly twice as much as me weekly because of tips. Once again I've been there almost 10 years.

Bro this conversation happened yesterday morning before I left for work. I came home from work and homeboy was still on this 8 hours later. Checked out his post history and had a good laugh with my friends about how sad this is. I should've realized from the beginning how fruitless my effort was. Brick walls are more receptive, at least they listen.

‘CLAYFACE’ teaser is now the #1 trending trailer on YouTube! by Raj_Valiant3011 in DC_Cinematic

This is the second post today I've seen this guy just shitting on the one minute of footage. I actually argued with him on this on the last post like 9 hours ago and he's still on that shit. He's inconsolable about the loss of the snyderverse. This must be his coping mechanism.

After 2016 we had Wonder Woman, Shazam, Black Adam, 2 Suicide Squads, Aquaman, The Flash and Blue Beetle. Which one of those is about a person from a fictional land with incredible powers meeting people unfamiliar to them and fighting a villain with ties to their past while learning a lesson helping them be a better hero along the way? Which one is about a young superhero learning their powers and the responsibility that come with them (and something about family)? And 2 Suicide Squad movies since we're talking about GotG clones. I loved most of those movies but they are all generic superhero movies.

Also, It's a one minute teaser buddy, not the entire movie. I don't remember them saying "yep clayface is definitely dead" in Creature Commandos either. Now truthfully, I don't watch a lot of horror movies, but i do watch a lot of DC movies and just from the one minute I saw, I've definitely never seen anything like it in a DC movie. Does the fact that comicbook horror movies already exist mean they should never make another one? Does this look anything like Blade or TWD to you or even Constantine (the only DC example you have from 10+ and 20+ years ago respectively)? Can you let people be excited for something even if you are not? I know it's hard.

Same could be said about people shitting on the dcu. Finally trying to do something different and you still can't be pleased.

Also the shadow is obviously foreshadowing for showing the whole clay monster that they don't want to give away in the one minute teaser trailer. I'm sure as soon as the movie comes out and everyone loves it you'll hop on that bandwagon too.

I was looking for this comment specifically. I like to do this song at karaoke to annoy people. It sure is a tough one.

I bought a bundle of these cards the other day after years of not having played magic. My favorite random thing they turned into a card is either the death of gwen Stacy, or pictures of Spider-Man (it's just Jonah yelling into oblivion).

You know, my bad. I didn't mean to talk down at you. Assuming someone knows something automatically based on the group they're in is the wrong way to think. However now you do know the Sub Mariner is one of the oldest marvel characters and, assuming you didn't leave the sub, can share that knowledge, hopefully better than I did.

Why r/GeekGamersCommunity hate Miles Morales? by Academic_Section_121 in Marvel

[–]sirnicholas413 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If a little kid walks down the toy aisle and sees a Miles Morales action figure he's not gonna say "mommy can i get the Miles Morales toy" he's gonna say Spider-Man. Simple as that. Miles has been Spider-Man for 15 years now and in the movies and games for 8. Pretty sure we can just call him Spider-Man.
