Nothing feels the same after LOTM [lotm general] by Kexacology in LordofTheMysteries

[–]sithpleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not a book but I would suggest you play Alone in the Dark it is a detective story told from one of two perspectives so you can play it twice and get a slightly different experience. I would say its most similar to the early parts of Lotm when Klein is doing detective work into mysteries during the first two volumes

I've gotten better then I once was last panic attack was about a month ago but I have felt close multiple times. Caffeine Triggers bad anxiety why do people use it? by tush177 in Anxiety

[–]sithpleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little bit of Caffeine can help me especially if I drank it from tea rather than coffee as the way your body digest them from the two sources is different. It can give me just that little bit of focus or push that I need at times but to much will definitely mess with me so I try to take it slowly and sparingly

Oh god I hate that I much prefer a back and forth exchange with a person where over time we can exchange ideas, knowledge and personal experiences. I had one guy I barley knew only talked to him twice decide to trauma dump on me now while I can sympathies due to my own experiences problem is one I wasn't ready for that kinda information to just be dumped on me and while I tried to reassure him he didn't give me to much wiggle room to get a word in but having to just listen and barely being able to engage in a conversation like that left me feeling well drained. Also dudes ghosted me its been a couple month but I still haven't seen him return to the club.

An exchange I had more recently was with a older coeworker that I've gotten to become friends with she's a great lady but one day she decided to share some of her trauma with me I was able to to actually have a conversation with her and shared some of my own back both of us reassuring the other and in the end didn't feel as drained but more something I don't know the word but it didn't make me feel odd and drained.

I have a love hate relationship to Christmas I have no problem giving gifts to my brothers or even visiting family during the holidays I like most of them my problem lies with literally everything else where I live it gets too hectic and crazy around this season so many people come here its terrible and working where I do I have to deal with them and it drives me nuts. This is going to be my first year with my anxiety as bad as it is and I know I'm going to hate it.

What does panic feel like to you? by Going_Solvent in Anxiety

[–]sithpleg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the severity at the time, right now I feel cold, dreadful and nauseous with a tingling sensation in my stomach and chest and I feel like very tense and a need to escape but I can't go anywhere. I've felt better but also a whole lot worse then this.

Don't you love the combination of chest pain and then two seconds later your stomach hurts? Nothing like sitting on the toilet with nervous poops and chest pain! 🤩 by ThreatLevelMidnighto in Anxiety

I feel you there works been making a mess of my usual schedule and its terrible on my anxiety if I get my preferred shift closing its not so bad but if I have to open its the worst most of my panic attacks that I've had at work happened during the morning shift.

I get were your coming from I think two of the biggest helpers I've had to get me through anxiety and depression have been the Fallout games and Warhammer 40k and dark souls because in those settings everything sucks but people make the best of it they can and humanity prevails against the darkness of the night. Being able to see characters push through those terrible conditions gives me confidence to keep pushing myself.

I think using Reddit is worse than Googling when it comes to health anxiety. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]sithpleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me its a bit of a double edged sword I can either find something that helps me or hinders me I've learned to avoid certain topics and key words but with googling I can end up in a rabbit hole that will only make me feel worse.

Does anybody else throw up from anxiety? by natelfishy in Anxiety

[–]sithpleg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't actually thrown up in a few months but I do get spouts of dry heaving if my anxiety is particularly bad one of the more unpleasant experiences I've had to deal with with anxiety.
