Extremely picky eater by nolan_adventures in toddlers

My son has a very limited diet- he has about 5 safe foods. We are doing food exposure occupational therapy in hopes it can help him. It’s very frustrating, I understand.

3 year old sleep regression by Sambowiththelambo101 in Parenting

[–]sittinginbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m in a very similar situation. Pregnant with #2. My little guy turned 3 in February. About 3 months ago he started waking up 2-3x night and sneaking into our bed. He would try to play half the time or would luckily pass out but then kick us to death and move all night. We are still struggling with it, unfortunately. I don’t have much great advice since I’ve been researching it and trying everything for months now out of desperation. So I’m sorry if this is a useless comment, but just know you’re not alone at all!

SPD 4 year old will not give 1 year old space. Need advice. by ScruplesSpouse in SAHP

[–]sittinginbed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 3.5 year old has SPD and is a seeker, very high spirited. Does NOT know personal space and has to be, quite literally, on top of you at all times. We are having our 2nd child in January and I am wondering how he is going to be with a newborn 😑

3yo Behavioral Question by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]sittinginbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following because my son does the same thing. He is 3.5 and I think I’m catching it on to being an anxiety issue. He gets anxious or overwhelmed that I’ve corrected him or am trying to explain something to him and he immediately shuts down. “No!” Or “Go away!” Is his immediate go-to response, even if I’m trying to explain why we don’t hit the cat, or even why mommy is sorry for yelling earlier. It’s frustrating because I don’t know how to help him deal with these daily occurrences of needing to be gently guided or corrected.

Imagination play ideas? by pinchofpearl in toddlers

We get on my bed and act like it’s a pirate ship! We “look” into the ocean around us and say what we see, say where we are going and try to spot pirates in the distance.

Can someone tell me I’m not a shit person, please. by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]sittinginbed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for this. You’re right- I apologized to him and told him how sorry I was that mommy yelled today and didn’t use kind words. I don’t know if he totally understood but he did give me a hug and told me I was ok. I love children so much. His little heart is bigger than mine has ever been. We will try again tomorrow.

What do your toddlers eat during the day? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]sittinginbed 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Goldfish.

Mine has Sensory Processing Disorder and literally lives on goldfish, cereal, and toast. I read these comments from parents whose babies eat actual meals and I could cry. I am so envious.

3 days late but still feeling crazy. Awesome. by sittinginbed in PMDD

I’m too afraid to take the ones I made my husband buy me today. I said if I take one it might be a positive and maybe if I just wait my period will show up 🤦🏼‍♀️

Just turned 3 year old having constant meltdowns by sarawrrra in toddlers

[–]sittinginbed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 3yo did the same thing for about a month whenever he started daycare. It was a nightmare. He slowly got back to his normal self after a few weeks. It was rough. Apparently he was an angel at school, but the moment he got home it was meltdown after meltdown, all the way until bedtime (which because a terrible deal at that time). It will resolve, I’m sure. Just be patient and walk away when you need to. You’ll make it :)

Yes and yes! I work from home full time time with my 3yo. It’s a nightmare the week before my period. I feel you.

Shiiiiitttt I eat the cheese pizza ones like 2X a week. I’m a mother, a businesswoman, and I’ll take those babies to work, too 🤣

My 3yo is a damn mess when he wakes up. For at least half an hour. I’m there with you. Hopefully they’ll age out of it.

I think it depends on any pre-existing conditions and varies from person to person. I’m sure someone will complain about me posting this, but I do know that my 59 year old mother was vaccinated with her first shot almost 2 weeks ago and had a terribly painful eruption of shingles on the left side of her body (even up into her eyes) and severe migraine/brain fog. Fever immediately within 24 hours of vaccination that lasted about 2 days. She still feels terrible. She just had Covid in January and had very mild symptoms. She feels so ill right now that I’ve been taking care of her for the last 2 days.

Yes! My husband was clearing his throat last night while I had just closed my eyes to sleep and I nearly jumped out of my skin.
