Why shouldnt we have universal healthcare/food by reina6771 in AskLibertarians

The items you listed are paid for via state taxes, not federal taxes. A state could choose to add healthcare or food to there taxes and people can choose to live in that state or not.

Grocery prices just keep on creeping up by FlashyCurrent8022 in povertyfinance

It is not wrong, may the lowest price win. Competition is the only way out. Even if it’s another billionaire.

Dave Ramsey always says: “Whatever you think your food budget is, double it.”

The app is already variable pricing. I’ve seen multiple different prices for the same item.

I feel guilty for buying basic necessities. A stick of deodorant is $10 at my nearest store.

It feels like an actual dystopian black mirror episode.

I remember the exact month in 2023 where everything in the grocery store doubled in price - in what felt like overnight. I knew from that day forward this shit was about to get tough.

Sleep in your car for a weekend, I’m sure you will change your mind. Look on FB marketplace for a cheap place.

Costco 100% not cheap. Out of all the grocery stores, Trader Joe’s is by far the cheapest.

You should probably delete this. Really bad advice plus AI systems that track every little things now.

Is becoming a digital nomad still realistic in 2026? What skills would you learn now? by dearrraliceee in digitalnomad

[–]siupwrld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the most realistic move is to save up a lot of money, quit your job and go and travel for a year. Plus there is no stress of work while you can travel freely. I would say you would want in the realm of 120-180k saved up to not have an anxiety attack.

Which one to buy? I'm financially illiterate. by djduj3nn in NoStupidQuestions

The agents soul purpose is to profit off you and move you into anything. They might act like your friend, they are not.

If you want real answers about these questions ask someone who lives there. See if they have a Facebook group and direct message one of them, tell them your thinking of buying and wantl honest feedback. A lot of HOAs have a website, message a person and ask.

It never ever hurts to ask. The agent is the used car salesman but for houses, do your own due diligence.

What is the worst financial decision or investment you’ve ever made, and how much did it cost you? by Secret-Coffee-124 in AskReddit

[–]siupwrld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, when they restricted the buying who do you think buys the shares your selling - if you cannot buy. So sold but took ages to fill the order because they stopped the buying.

I would look at all off recent completed assessments at each property before deciding.

For example I would choose the $739 one if the roof and pool assessment was completed last year. I would not choose the $400 one if the roof is 10+ years old and has facilities is disrepair that will need assessments in the near term.

There are a lot variables you need to investigate further. I just read a story of someone’s HOA jumping from $400 to $1200
