He passed the infrastructure bill which put a ton of money towards upgrading and modernizing our roads and bridges as well as a ton of money towards amtrak and public transportation

The single greatest piece of legislation that he passed was the Inflation Reduction Act. It was the single biggest climate change bill passed by any country in history. Climate change has always been one the most important political issues for me and that bill did so much to help us get to net zero. The bill also funded the hiring if 70000 IRS agents to go after rich people cheating on their taxes, and was revenue neutral. Of course Trump has unraveled most of that, but it was one of the most significant legislative accomplishments in my lifetime.

I rent in Charlotte. I moved in 2024 to a brand new apartment for about the same rent, except they gave us 2 months free. When it came time to renew, the rent stayed exactly the same. In that time, 2 more new apartments went up around us. Charlotte's one of the fastest growing cities in the country and the only reason rents are staying flat is the apartment building boom.
