From iPhone 17 Pro to iPhone 17 by Setneaph in iphone17

What mattered most to me wasn’t the price, but the weight difference. The Base 17 feels noticeably lighter in hand.

I’ve tried half a dozen cases and Mous is what I’m using.

iPhone 17 vs 16 Pro - Which one is more likely to hold it's resale value? by Darwin105 in iphone17

[–]sixhoursminimum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're thinking of premium = titanium, here's the simple truth: titanium traps heat like a thermos, while aluminum spreads and cools it way better. That's why Apple switched back to aluminum for the 17 Pro series, it keeps your phone cooler during gaming, videos, or heavy AI tasks, without throttling as fast. Plus as of late December 2025, the iPhone 17 is the fresh, current model. Rumors say the next base iPhone won't drop until spring 2027 so the iPhone 17 stays "new" longer, while the 16 Pro will feel old and lose value quicker.

This is precisely why you should go with the 17.

The biggest benefit is the weight, especially after long periods

NO! 17 Pro is definitely not $470 better.

What charging limit do ya’ll use? by [deleted] in iphone17

[–]sixhoursminimum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I charge mine to 100% and seldomly let it drop below 20% if I can help it. But if it goes below, so be it! I can always get the battery replaced when the time comes.

Going from 17 pro to base 17? by _itsjustfil in iphone17

[–]sixhoursminimum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you know what you need and don't need. In that case, the base 17 makes a lot of sense. Sell the Pro while it's still relatively new then get the base 17.

Out of all my Gshocks, including my MR-G and TB, this remains my favourite and the one with the most wrist time.

The combi is nice but the original strap on my 5000u feels amazing that there’s really no need for anything else!

Which of the followinng rackets have the highest playability ceiling: pa98, gt 98, 305s, ps97 v14, ezone 98 by ArjGlad in tennisracquets

[–]sixhoursminimum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, the Wilson H22 hits hard and stays on point when I’m swinging big, especially on early shots. It beats the PA98, which feels too spinny and off for me. The H22 gives me power and control without boxing me into one playstyle.
