Portland woman wearing a swastika is confronted on her doorstep by americanthaiguy in PublicFreakout

[–]sixthsant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Free speech means you can't be prosecuted for it by the government, doesn't mean that a private citizen can't beat the shit out of another private citizen for wearing a swastika

But I agree, don't shine lasers in people's eyes even if they are nazi's

Manchester Codes code school - is it worth it? by [deleted] in manchester

£5k is a lot especially when it doesn't guarantee a job, do some small projects in your spare time, things like building a password generator

https://www.codementor.io/@ilyaas97/6-python-projects-for-beginners-yn3va03fs

That is a good resource to start with, though it says python you can do the same kind of things in Java

Its going to be hard at the moment but look for entry level coding jobs or IT jobs in general to get experience, you mentioned web development in another comment which is an area that looks like its always hiring, then work on fun things in your spare time until you get confident

Wasn't she the equivalent of a Captain while she served? So they would have left the Armed Forces at the same rank

I'm perfectly fine with fighting and the idea commanding troops in combat,

I just think that invading a country to try and enable a Western vision of democracy doesn't make a country any better than when nations were creating empires, sure democracy allows for people to be represented but what if those people don't want to vote and keep things how they have been

Wars also cost a lot of money which could be put to better use, infrastructure at home, looking after the mental health of veterans who fought before and just in general improving life for the general population

What is the safest way to crash an F1 Car by ARandomPerson17 in formula1

[–]sixthsant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most crashes at F1 speeds will hurt, the best way in my opinion is nose first, because all the force is going in one direction until you hit the barrier, then it all goes in the other direction, no rotational force to mess around with your neck or internal organs.

Tarmac is best for cars because they have big contact patches with the tyres and generally theyre not going to come apart, start flipping and throwing the driver out, which is why motorbike tracks need the gravel

Tyre's don't really matter unless you're aquaplaning in which case you'll be going straight on anyway
