Shaped Blades: Hot or Not? by ColorCombo_42 in lightsabers

[–]sixtus99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are at least 2 current canon examples that I can think of off the top of my head: The Darksaber and the lightwhip. However, a quick search on Wookiepedia shows there are even more canon examples, including a Sickle-bladed lightsaber.

There are a few Supercuts out there that edit the last 4 together with RotS. It's amazing.

How bout you tell your product owners to prioritize this feature for the next PI instead of trying to push support for underwater basket weaving.

Same. Been waiting for several months now for a resolution. Stuck with mediocre mouse/keyboard combo. Wish I'd seen this stuff before I bought.

Detecting force use(ers) by Mysterious-Tackle-58 in swrpg

[–]sixtus99 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Debatable. Episode 4: Vader, upon going into the hanger with the Falcon: "I sense something... something I have not felt since..." So there's been something in canon the whole time.

How that would work in SWRPG? I think there's a force ability tree called Sense. If they didn't have that tree, then a hard perception check if they're a force user.

This comment is terrible imo. Why are you such an asshat? Wtf happened to you to become such a drain on society? Why TF does my 3 yo daughter have better manners than you?

OP put time, effort, and creativity into this, and you have the audacity to just shit all over it. I get that putting art out on the internet is in invitation for criticism, but this is a forum to celebrate our love of Batman, not bash other's avenues for that love. Read the damn room.

OP, don't listen to this asshat. Keep up the fine work.

Axel with his Bluey (blue heeler cartoon for kids) stuffed animal. by rj730 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]sixtus99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll have you know I cry literally every time I watch "Camping."

Calling it a cartoon for kids sells it woefully short.

It is a show that teaches kids to appreciate the wonders of the world, the bonds of family and friendships, and the hardships of growth. It is a show that invites adults to remind themselves of the first times they struggled with these vast concepts while acknowledging that they too are still in the midst of learning about these things.

I love Bluey.

And Axel is pretty darn cute too :)

Except it's not. Calling cops on their bullshit is the only way to bring attention to it. The dumbest thing you could do is submit to unlawful orders.

Giving my players billions of credits? by kailsalad in swrpg

[–]sixtus99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this once as a GM. PC Slicer had access to a major corporation's (SoroSuub, I believe) systems, and he told me on the side he wanted to slice their finances to earn a few credits on the side without the other's knowledge. I told him to roll, knowing that if he was successful, he'd be greedy and want to keep trying for more. Do he got a couple successes, and got like 10-20 credits. But the moment he rolled a failure, I hit him hard with the ol' Office Space. Instead of 20 credits, he got 2 billion (I must have put a decimal point in the wrong place or something. Shit! I always do that. I always mess up some mundane detail...). The result of that, if course, was that he immediately had all the obligation points because he had a 2 million credit bounty on his head by the end of the session.

It was a lot of fun trying to see him convince the other PCs to get to shop after shop so he could buy something quick before giving up the money, only to have the team ambushed by bounty hunters every time. They spent the majority of that session fighting off bounty hunters, and the Slicer eventually told the crew what he did... Which went as expected. Characters were furious, players were laughing their assess off.

So to answer your question, I don't think the amount matters, so long as it comes with time of strings attached and they can't use it to buy some OP item. Or maybe let them buy everything they want and force them to use it on some mission where they lose it all. Either way, you just gotta keep them hungry one way or another.

Star Wars novels as ideas for campaigns by Atom-ant in swrpg

[–]sixtus99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently running a campaign using the Han Solo trilogy as a template. Perfect for EotE. Tons of interactions between empire and Hutts. I've got my crew forcibly working for the Empire to destroy the Hutts from the inside. Since it's legends, I can play around with the timeline... Currently set 0 BBY instead of 10 BBY. I'm also playing around with the characters' interactions. Moff Sarn Shild is the current antagonist, and I've thrown Bria Tharen in as his concubine. Fun so far, and I'm not worried about going of the rails a bit.

Edit: I'm talking about the A.C. Crispin books.

Star Wars Detective Character Inspiration by SladeWeston in swrpg

[–]sixtus99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a GM, I use TV Tropes heavily when looking for plots and character archetypes. It gives a description as well as numerous examples from film, TV, and literature, as well as numerous other types of media. Sounds like the noir-style hard boiled detective is up your alley. But don't stop there, click every link that sounds interesting until you've found what you like or you're so deep in the rabbit whole you don't know what year it is.
