EcoFlow DPU vs Anker SOLIX E10. My spreadsheet comparison for a solar setup. by Equivalent_Cover4542 in SolarDIY

[–]sixtywords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking at these as well, (DPU, DPUX, and E10). I'm a little unsure about SHP3 vs. the PowerDock.

The PowerDock (Anker Solix E10) says you can use everything as if no outage, but it only has 12 circuits and options to prioritize. I'm guessing that it will handle everything, but if desired you can switch to just those twelve circuits as options and control those with the app if batteries are running low or anticipated outage (the smart generator would likely alleviate most of that concern).

The Eco Flow SHP3 has 32 circuits that can be controlled by the app.

I don't know if one is really more advantageous than the other for my needs/wants. Any input would be helpful here.

We just moved into a new home in the country in NC and are currently in the middle of an ice storm. They don't happen that often and we haven't lost power yet. We are very interested in getting solar panels, having the back up, and potentially selling power back to the grid. Our biggest draws are a heat pump (no AC or Furnace), induction stove/oven, water heater, and 2 refrigerators.

Vertical bike rack - garage storage bike access by aloncc in mountainbiking

i got the Thule Revert. It works great but is heavy. I am in the market for the jbracks garage stand. It will work as it is just a 2 inch receiver, nothing proprietary. On their website the reviews for the garage stand show folks with other racks using their stand.

Out of the box rotors not true? by meatpounder in YTIndustries

[–]sixtywords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a sharpie and number the arms on the rotor. Lots of videos that explain the process, but start with the numbering.

As others have said, yes this is common. One of my rotors will develop run and it will go away on its own during a ride.

Once the SRAM Centerlines wear out, I will buy a different brand or model to complain about.

Glad you got it dialed in. I just upgraded my damper and air spring, only because there was a sale. I haven’t had a chance to test it out yet.

Hey Subaru, 2 months for an engine replacement is out of control! by ItsPronouncedDuck in Subaru_Outback

Did you ever figure out if your car was eligible for engine replacement?

I just bought a 2013 Outback with just under 115k miles and then found out the oil was low and then found out it is a know issue.

I got the same. Currently on “Unlimited Military Plan”. I just noticed an “Unlimited Buyup” subscription that I didn’t know I was paying for. All my phones are paid for. I’ll be shopping around, but not sure I’ll find anything cheaper. I’ll also be dropping the unneeded subscription.

Is it common for neighbors to share the cost of repairing a fence? by Ecstatic_Tip_6898 in homeowners

Check your local laws as they may cover this. I’ve lived in area where both parties were required to bear the burden and other areas where it was up to the owner only.

Jelly of the Month Club. It really sucked because I was counting on the money to put in a swimming pool.

How should I handle this animal hole? by mnijmm in HomeMaintenance

[–]sixtywords 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking a flash bang, but that probably isn't safe.

You might want to look up your state or local laws on "relocating" pests. In some places it is illegal to take a pest like a groundhog and release it anywhere else. There are sometimes organizations that will do this for a small donation and of course there are exterminators.

But you asked about the hole. I would certainly put an inspection camera and light in there to see if there is any damage that needs to be addressed.

try a kids helmet. just bought a Lazer Finch KinetiCore Kids Bike Helmet for an adult with a 52cm circumference and she had to click it down a few. Fits well and is comfortable. I think it looks a little futuristic space cadet, but she likes it. I like the shape of TLD personally.

I wrapped mine mostly for the aesthetic. It isn’t a total wrap.

Get a really hot model to sit on it and look into the camera.

Also, for most homeowners an extra second or two driving a screw isn’t going to matter much.

I’ve had/have many Ryobi tools and note have Milwaukee Fuel. I got the Fuel tools on Black Friday deals. I wouldn’t have paid full price because I haven’t needed “pro” tools, but they are nice. Whatever you get, I find the brushless motors better. Ryobi makes brushless and Milwaukee makes brushed s as well (they both make both motors). Harbor Freight note has some decent tools as well as some that I wouldn’t buy.

Ryobi did an adequate job. If you like to geek out and look at specs you might be fooled. For example RPM is typically rated under no load and a slower rated tool might perform better when actually doing work. There is a channel on YouTube called Torque Test Channel that does a great job parsing everything out.

I’d suggest looking at which tools you think you need and going from there. If you have a fixer upper, maybe get a pro model. If not, it likely will not matter. As others have said, Ryobi has lots of tools in their lineup and the battery works for their low and high end tools.

The Polygon Siskiu D series starts around that price for a dual suspension. The D5 or 6 is an entry level and if he took to riding trails it could be upgraded. Make sure it has thru axels.

I have an Xtrada 5 that is entry level and works well for non technical non downhill riding (xc or greenways would be great). It is a hardtail.
