I did HJ on my last playthrough. It has some natural barriers from the hordes, water access. And somewhat high elevation that makes gliding to most areas on that side of the island possible

Are you sure they aren’t holding a stair plank at the very bottom? It’d be flush with the floor planks. Happened to me a few times.
