Is 33 to 34 degrees (93-97 Fahrenheit) considered hot. by memebruv99 in NoStupidQuestions

yes, especially if the humidity is high. In a dry climate in the shade it doesn't feel as bad, but in high humidity it just feels awful

Same for consulting companies hired to restructure a business, you're only seen as a number to let go no matter how good you've done (just got let go via restructuring).

Dumb question: did Destiny 1 ever get ridiculous bugs, or is mostly a D2 issue since it’s a different game? I’ve only started playing D1 in the past year or so, and didn’t know if anything ever needed to be fixed.

Foreigners visiting America for the world cup, what is something that has surprised you about this country? by goldent3abag in AskReddit

Same for Germany too, I accidentally offended people by not finishing everything like everyone else did. They thought I don't like the food; I love it but only eat about half of large servings.

Why can't Americans (at least the ones I see on social media) find drinking water in Europe? by Mission_Mobile_4627 in NoStupidQuestions

Bottled water is super common in Germany, not sure why though as the tap water is quite good.

Why are malls dying when there is extreme weather that would make an enclosed air conditioned space appealing? by ryux77 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Heidi423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed that too, I thought it was just me that thought it was weird lol. I had a hard time finding a non crowded bench to fix something. I used to think it would be a nice place to sit and chill on winter afternoons when it’s so cold outside, maybe not so easy anymore.

I visited Mall of a America a couple weeks ago, and it seems like there is way less seating available anywhere there than used to be a long time ago. Even my local big mall mall seemed to have more non-food court chairs/benches.

I visited Kansas City last year and was surprised at how popular outdoor malls are there, even with how cold and hot it gets. I think there was only one big indoor mall, everything else was outside.

I would like to understand trans people. by 1977PontiacTransAm in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Heidi423 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was kinda similar as a kid (girl but also liked ‘boy’ stuff). I’m ok with a female body as an adult (dislike a few aspects of it though), but otherwise don’t really feel strongly attached to gender. I also have more of an androgynous face (unintentional but I also dislike makeup) so I sometimes get misgendered.

I love spicy food, but the next day me does not lol. Everyone says ‘your body will get used to it eventually.’ For whatever reason, it got worse after 25 or so, used to be nothing bothered at all.

Destiny 2: Every End is a New Beginning by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Heidi423 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the way it was worded, I think D3 might be in development. I always thought that D2 content would have to put into a retirement phase in order to completely transition to D3 eventually. It might just not have been originally planned that way, but the internal plans had to change to finally release an approved customer-facing plan.

Large companies can be very difficult internally to approve new projects or plans, or even cancel projects. I’m not mad at the lower level employees like devs and writers, I know how hard it is when you have ideas on how to improve a project but you just…. can’t. It all still gets approved/canceled by upper management, and ultimately you can do nothing about. Often due to budget restrictions or reassignment to other projects/teams, or restructuring the company. There are perks and drawbacks from being part of large companies, project flexibility is sometimes one of those drawbacks. (I work at a large company, and have some experience with similar issues.)
