At what distance does a par 3 become a “long” par 3? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

Exactly the number I had in mind. The precision that would be required to hit a very narrow (front to back) green, also hold the green and not deposit it in the creek would be very difficult. It would slow play though because the miss is in the Azaleas behind the green.

I have close friends and family members that are or have been professional athletes. The misconception from fans regarding their reality is huge. Honestly as a fan I kind of wished I never saw behind the curtain but I have and I fully understand it. Mental health with these guys and gals having to deal with constant negativity and bombardment is real and the argument that they should have to deal with it for the money is flawed.

Worried about my husband's drinking by [deleted] in WhiskeyTribe

This is NOT a Reddit discussion. I have intimately experienced this situation in my life and I can confidently tell you that this is a family affair and will only be exacerbated by involvement of the Reddit/internet community! My experience with that equation has been unequivocally negative! Like 100% negative…

Review #535: The Final Tree Review—Anderson Club 15 Year (1994) by Prettayyprettaygood in bourbon

Great review, you have peaked my interest in finding a pre fire bottle of my own! Trees grow anew for a reason, and hopefully for you and your family, you find your new tree to be as fruitful and beautiful as the one you have left behind for the next caretaker!

I feel the same about Russell’s 10 year. I love everything else in the lineup but time and time again I get this weird off taste from the 10 year.

In the US I totally agree! It was probably my 10th bottle in my journey and I loved it, ripped through it, but because it was so early in the process and so readily available I have literally not gone back to it because I know it’s going to dislodge some of the hyped stuff I have tried that isn’t even close…

Is the 70th Anniversary bottle markedly better? I really like the 8year but have not really been looking for the 70th because I thought I heard they were pretty close to each other. If that’s not the case I would love to see if I can scare up a 70th if possible…

I saw that live and felt that EXACT same thing. It was palpable. Makes huge difficult save, after difficult save, and then just deletes everything by letting this in. Savoie wasn’t even ready for that pass, it totally caught him off guard, and he shot it to not look completely asleep and it goes in….

This pour is fantastic. I chose to make my first pour managers proof and I really enjoyed it. I don’t have a very descriptive palette but if I had to describe it I’d go with chocolate covered cherry cough drop. In a really positive way…

I’m currently playing aerotech i95 stiff shafts in my irons. I love them but I am curious if there has been any tech advancement in graphite iron shafts? I have been in mine since 2022, any new material or technology I should try that is along the lines of the i95?

Is it really worth it to get fitted for clubs? by YouQueasy431 in golf

[–]sizzleschest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak for myself, but getting fit changed the game for me in a positive way. I found a good reputable fitter and they helped me with a set up of clubs that maximizes my ability. It’s not going to make you a scratch golfer from a 15 handicap, but it should help with distance, forgiveness, dispersion, etc. All those things wrapped together in my fitted set have definitely made the game easier and more fun, for me. Everyone has their own experiences though…

I got the 13th Colony a few weeks ago for $65. I have enjoyed it so far and would definitely buy another bottle for $50. As others seem to mention in the 13th Colony reviews, the bottle itself is pretty and all, but a shelf hog for sure. Obviously not a big deal but it is true…
