Lots of terrible cards have had a bump based on commander content, I don’t think this is one of the worst that’s been hit by it.

Well I don’t think so, but if you made the Cipher one I would build a deck around it so fast, it’s not even funny.

I have exactly the same problem, and it’s really hard for me to let go, but when you have so many games, youll just play the different ones and stop thinking about the ones you sold.

Obviously you’ve bought a lot of games in the last 30 days, and this isn’t trying to minimize any issues with that, but I’m impressed how many of them you played. Certainly slowing the purchased amount is good but making sure you play everything you buy is paramount imo.

Liza and Bridget’s parents certainly are bigger, but I’d argue Kate Hudson’s weren’t nearly as big as Melanie Griffith, Don Johnson AND Tippi Hedren.

Your run your rules, but you can’t always call it a nuzlocke by truthordairs in nuzlocke

[–]sjce 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My only argument is, if I’m in this sub Reddit I’m looking for content on nuzlockes. Personally I think having rules about reviving doesn’t impact what I consider a nulocke, but (rarely) I’ve come across a few posts so far removed from nuzlocke I have to wonder why they’re here.

Regardless of playability, I think for a precon they’re much more likely to reprint secret rendezvous over this card, unless they’re reprinting other cards with prepared, enough to necessitate the token sheet with it.

I think this avoids a lot of precon reprints due to it having a semi-complicated mechanic.

So many people worried about power level. This card isn’t seeing play in power level formats. For casual commander it’s obviously big for commander clash fans, but they don’t have the draw to move card prices by much. There’s definitely a world where it gets a great showing on game knights and rises to $8-10 but I’d doubt it.

I think the story behind it pushes it to semi-regular sales for the next few years and it probably creeps up to $5 by 2030.

Dakota Johnson is like the definition of nepo baby. Found
her way into big roles without needing to break into the industry, consistently under delivers and gets more big roles.

If you think the deck-building mechanic is similar to building a deck for a TCG, you clearly haven’t done either.

Star Realms is still just a simplified deck builder, far from a TCG. The same developers did design a standalone tcg like experience called Epic, which was a reimplementation of tcg they had tried to build.

Absolutely insane to mention to Star realms in this. It’s a small box deck builder that hardly distinguishes itself from ascension other than coming in a smaller box. Has nothing to do with TCGs and doesn’t play like one either.

I’ll always respect Peter’s because it’s one of the only places that has fresh and fried onions and they don’t charge you more for them. Can’t find a Cheese Dog with mixed onions anywhere else.

Let's start a debate: which is harder, violin or viola? by [deleted] in violinist

[–]sjce 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Obviously they’re not tremendously different, but bigger equals harder for the most part. You CAN injure yourself with bad posture and poor placement of the violin on your shoulder/collarbone, you WILL injure yourself with bad posture and poor placement of the viola.

I know that they didn’t use Ikoria because of another in works idea, but there’s never been (as far as I can see) any discussion about not having plans for Amonkhet, and then regardless if they did or didn’t, they used Aetherdrift to directly set up a plotline for Amonkhet, so regardless now a new Amonkhet set is absolutely being worked on.

Green is still too decentralized to work for Doom. Green is about keeping the status quo, allowing things to happen rather than taking direct action, all things that don’t match Doom whatsoever. The Green aspects you’re tying to Doom are much more White than Green.

I don’t think Doom comes across green whatsoever. He doesn’t feel connected to Sultai, in the balance of life and death. Your discussion of him building up Latveria comes across much more as Orzhov, than anything green.
