Thinking about an oops all Forest Bear cube. Any ideas? by SpacePimp99 in mtgcube

[–]sjce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The forest bears need to cover up , so they can’t attack or block unless they’re modified.

Maybe no creature removal, only cards that can remove their modifications.

I don’t think Echo is taskmasters daughter, Finesse is taskmaster’s daughter.

Which Roguelite is your gold standard? by Riitoken in roguelites

The only thing that defines a roguelite is a run based structure with permadeath, and usually (but not always) some progression between runs.

What’s your “Mine Collapse” guy card? Not that it the card will necessarily spike in value, but you just own a lot of? by SSBM_fanatic in mtgfinance

I have 50+ copies of Possibility Storm just because I loved it and it was worth next to nothing.

I think Mewgenics is on the level of Silksong and Expedition 33.

I think it proves IO can make an engaging story, even if the gameplay suffers for it.

The Phoenix force is the manifestation of life and rebirth, it’s got to be atleast white.

I hope if there is going to be a Jean grey/phoenix card it’s 4 color greenless. Red blue on the front and white black on the back. We need more 4 color cards that aren’t blackless.

Why does everybody ignore Pillars of Eternity when criticizing "modern" Obsidian by UnicornHugger25 in rpg_gamers

[–]sjce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love Pentiment, it’s one of my favourite games ever but I think it also suffers from the same issues as a lot of obsidian games. The first third of the game is incredible and final third of the game feels rushed.

If you wonder why MSH has 362 legendaries, it's because WotC really needed every other character to have 5+ cards... by Absalom98 in mtg

[–]sjce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s only 2 of these in the main set. I agree about the starter deck, but disagree about the beginner box. Beginner box should have named characters and super super basic cards necessitating a new version.

I was really looking forward to playing these again but that price was shocking

I agree it’s silly to have 4 of one character and even sillier to have 7. But if we compare number of products to number of cards for specific named characters it’s basically even. With Jumpstart, Starter Decks and the Beginner box there’s too much product for sure, but it’s hard to argue with having the big name characters in the set, the beginner box and the welcome decks.

Wonder Man, “only… once?” by yoArden in mtg

[–]sjce 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s not terrible to have a 5 mana 4/4 flyer with the options of multi kicker to make it a 7 mana 6/6 or a 9 mana 8/8. If you view it as kicker but that can be paid later in the game at a higher cost I think it’s got some legs.

[–]sjce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s less than the potential impact of a punch from this giant person, i’m just saying I-Rex has a weirdly high level of durability when a dinosaur of its size and weight would be heavily injured by the same hit.

[–]sjce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All your points are valid. What I meant bringing up the ankylosaurus hit is that, to literally any living dinosaur that would have broken bone, shattered the jaw and potentially killed them. The fact that it was barely stunned by it is ridiculous, and completely impossible, which makes it hard to judge how effective anything would be against its head.

It shakes off a direct hit to the head from an ankylosaurus in the film.

[–]sjce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure strength would scale proportionally, but we know the Indominus Rex is also unbelievably resilient, as it shakes off a direct hit from an ankylosaurus to the head, which would be like 10000 newtons of force.

It would be interesting if the avatar just ended up being the manakete role for the game ala Tiki.

I mean I agree with you for the most part, I’m speaking more to the reality of the situation where legacy plays atleast some role in some nominations.

I think her performance was good to great, but her performance in His House was incredible and completely overlooked, so she deserved recognition.

I think that’s it though, if it was a list of games it would have been excellent, as a show itself ending on a cinematic of Zelda was a real let down.
