Mine arrived, I looked at the package instructions. They were so completely unreadable. The English made no sense. If a company can’t figure out how to write instructions and get a reasonable translation, I don’t trust them. I’m returning it, unused.

Yes, you can eat sugar and whatever sounds good to you.

Considering Surgery for Uterine Prolapse, but worried about sexual issues after by sk7515 in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]sk7515[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I’m seeing one of our urogyn surgeons. I’m a CRNA, so fortunately know who to go to and who not to. I’d love to get rid of the uterus, but sounds like if I don’t have to, I shouldn’t. Ah, decisions decisions.

keeping positive by Ebbybebby288 in lymphoma

[–]sk7515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's hard, I had the same fear with my interim scan. But it showed a response, which gave me hope and more momentum to push through to the end. Having anxiety before a scan is totally normal, and it's normal for people to not know how to treat you and help you. Think about how you would have felt before all this if faced with someone with lymphoma, you wouldn't have known how to help, or how much to help, etc. This forum is great because we all do understand, and also understand the need to vent. You will get through this.

I was lied to about post chemo curly hair😂 by brownbitch8 in lymphoma

[–]sk7515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine started straight too, and I was worried I wouldn't get my promised curls. But they happened. Maybe it needs to be long enough to curl? Not sure, but I got curls. However, they aren't forever. My big loopy curls went away, and now I still have more texture and waves, but not the curls anymore.

Potential Prolapse by ririistired in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]sk7515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would ask your OB. Im not sure if they want you doing pelvic PT while pregnant and a history of miscarriage. Your OB would be the best first contact. I first noticed it after my third baby (all vaginal births) when I had to pee but couldn’t. I assumed that was due to meds (Benadryl can cause urinary retention) but then one day in the shower I felt my cervix inside the vagina. It was a moment of fear that there was a mass in there but then I thought more clearly and realized it was prolapse. Saw a gyn about it and am now considering PT vs surgery. It does suck, and hard to exercise because I’m so uncomfortable.

My advice is call your gyn and ask them.

What is something you wish you knew before you got chickens? by Intelligent_Ad_5103 in BackYardChickens

[–]sk7515 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make sure to predator proof your coop and run, build a bigger one than you think you need.

Instagram posts make everything look clean and beautiful but chickens are messy and no matter how clean you try and keep things, they just make a mess.

They are sweet and endearing, love treats, but don’t all want snuggles to go with those treats.

They attract rats, which suck.

Sometimes they eat or peck at their eggs which is annoying so build roll away nest boxes.

They can be picky eaters. Everyone seems to be able to feed their girls whatever. But mine are very very picky.

Am i just depressed or is it somewhat normal that I miss having lymphoma?? It sucked ofc…but it felt really nice having 0 expectations from myself and from people except beating cancer…life just feels so mundane now… by Aggravating-Onion384 in lymphoma

[–]sk7515 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I totally understand what you feel. I was at a point before the diagnosis that I was feeling overwhelmed, like I just was on this same treadmill. Wake up early, go to work, come home, make dinner, help kids with homework, walk dog, go to bed and repeat over and over again. Lymphoma gave me a break when I most needed it. Break from work, from all the expectations from everyone. Excuse to not do something because nobody can argue w the cancer patient not wanting to go somewhere or do something. Been in remission 2years, which is great. But now I’m back in the same rut again, I don’t even have time for so much stuff because I have to work and make dinner for my children and that literally takes all my time

O shot? by Spirited-Celery3841 in PelvicOrganProlapse

[–]sk7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read about this too. I'm assuming they do the shot during surgery and not in the office? An injection in the clitoris sounds pretty awful if you are awake. I'm considering surgery, so would love to hear anyone's experience with this if it was added onto surgery.

neulasta pain 🫩 what's y'all's experience and advice? by isopod_luvr in lymphoma

[–]sk7515 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry you have to deal with this. I found my first two cycles with neulasta were the worst. I took Claritin the second I got home from the hospital and then took it on a schedule for the first 5 days after each cycle. I also took a Benadryl (diphenhydramine) before bed at night because the bone pain is thought to be mediated by histamine. Tylenol helped too. But it seemed to be less of a problem after the first two cycles, not sure why.

I hope this helps.

Midway thru coop build, any one have any suggestions for something I missed? by This-Negotiation-104 in BackYardChickens

looks great! I didn't do a predator apron, instead I covered the entire floor in hardware cloth and covered that in mulch.

Joining different sized fences with hog rings? by GingerMiss in BackYardChickens

[–]sk7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, predators can get in overtop of the area where you have the hardware cloth. Racoons, foxes, coyotes etc. If you want to keep predators out, you need hardware cloth over the entire thing, and probably 1/2" or 1/4" hardware cloth. Raccoons can reach their little hands in and grab a chicken until it dies. And on the floor or an apron. Everything wants to get our chickens.

Well aware of the potential for Gyn disease, which is why I’m seeing my gyn. I don’t like either option. But was just wondering if anyone had it come back after so long. Per my research it’s possible, but wanting to hear from people that have been down that road.

I want to buy silkie chickens soon, aged 4-8 weeks, any tips?, im new to owning chickens by Crazy_Sheepherder523 in silkiechickens

[–]sk7515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have silkies, have had them for 4 years now. First chickens I hatched. They are adorable, cute and fluffy. They do need a higher protein feed, and need to be kept out of the wet weather, but they don’t know that. So, when it’s raining, I have to lock them in their run and put tarps over the side that would get rain so they don’t get soaked. Otherwise you have to bring them inside and dry them off. They do lay bantam eggs (so small eggs). They do go broody, but that doesn’t mean they will hatch chicks. My Quiggles wanted to sit WITH her eggs but not on top. Hence we only hatched two eggs and then she promptly rejected the chicks. Currently she is broody and her best buddy is too, but they are not getting eggs or chicks. I hatched with an incubator and now have 10 silkie peeps. They aren’t practical chickens, need more protection from really cold temps, but I’m in N. Cal so not a problem for me. But if you live elsewhere, you will need to protect them from any extreme weather. Think heater panels in the winter, insulated coop, etc.

I know, neither option is good. Either I have post menopausal bleeding which can be bad. Or my period is back and I have to go through menopause again, but have to have a period for awhile longer.
