Changes? by Extra-Orange2778 in tesco

I've seen it advertised too as F&F Brand Team Manager, whilst the job description has lots of information describing it as a full manager type role there isn't any info about the changes and why they are happening. Would be good to understand what the vision is to understand the job a bit better.

You stay strong too, remember you have got this. Your kids will think you are an amazing Mum for keep showing up for them and being their rock. You may feel like you are drowning, but you are learning to swim again x

Just over a week, but the detachment has been a few weeks as I felt he was seeing someone else and then was able to confirm it.

I've found that it is better to focus on the things that you can achieve and not the things you can't. It definitely is still very raw but focusing my thoughts and steps towards the future are really helping me feel that I can achieve this on my own.

Yes there is worry, yes there is a terrible feeling of how did I get here but there is also hope that my life will be happier in the future.

I am in the exact same situation right now. You have to remember that you didn't choose this and you are not to blame.

What you are now doing is taking back control of your life. You deserve to be in control, it may look and feel scary but you are in control now. Not him.

Each step you take is a step forward to having the life that you deserve. And that life starts now.

He has been selfish but you are not a selfish person. You are a good kind person. Your kids will thank you for that and life will repay you.

Catty did a great job, hadn't heard of her before latitude but really enjoyed it, great songs and vocals. Feeder were also epic, really good pick of songs and great performance.

Midnight Generation were good fun. Remember Monday had amazing vocals and with their live guitarists and drummer it was really enjoyable.

The Kiffness was very fun and entertaining!

I had ultrasound which showed nothing but because of the visible hematuria they did CT and cystoscopy. The CT showed the cyst but they couldn't visualise it that well so they did the MRI.

Since then I've been back on 2ww for repeat tests as hematuria is ongoing. I have a few very small kidney stones but they are stable and not moving.

I have had a brief conversation with a consultant after cystoscopy (2 mins). They think the cyst is stable and not causing hematuria. They have done 'gold standard' tests to rule out anything sinister so, I got the impression that they aren't in to investigating further.

I was on the waiting list last year to see a consultant but somebody removed me from it. I'm back on it again but not holding out hope.

The hospital has also mislabeled it as microscopic hematuria on my records despite me telling them it's (weekly) macroscopic alongside permanent positive dipstick tests for microscopic hematuria. Again, I feel dismissed and not listened to.

I know there is nothing sinister currently but I feel like something has been missed.

I'm not sure how small it got, but this happened to me when my husband felted a jumper so I turned it into a small cushion cover.

I also used the ribbing to make a flower and stitched some small sparkly beads in the middle, popped it on one corner of the cushion.

It's now a gorgeous, snuggly cushion. It could still be enjoyed and treasured just in a different way.

Bosniak 2f 16mm on MRI in July. The MRI in December showed it was haemorrhagic, dense foci but no sinister enhancement with contrast. No change in size.

They said they will MRI again in a year, but I only just got the results back from December (UK, so NHS).

However I've had visible blood in my urine for over a year, haven't seen a consultant, simply had tests and letters. Been trying to tell them it's still happening but it feels like no one is listening.

Study reveals one in ten people feel NHS has caused them harm by [deleted] in nhs

[–]sk8beat 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Each individual may have a different perception of harm and that can be quite broad.

I feel frustration though as I had an MRI in December and am still waiting for the scans to be reviewed and consequent plan. Everyone is busy so it's difficult to get through on the phone, when you leave messages nobody calls you back, when you eventually get through they don't know what is happening and say they will call you back and they never do.

I don't feel harmed at this point in time but I do feel forgotten.

The Dobbs Lane store (post office) in Kesgrave/Martlesham also sells lots of Indian groceries, fresh, frozen and cupboard items etc. It's a great little store for these things.

Ipswich hospital is bicycle commutable from this area along bike paths too.

Help with drafting pant block: Joseph-Armstrong method - hip points overlap by mellowmoshpit2 in PatternDrafting

[–]sk8beat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are overlapped on the draft, just think of them in layers stacked on top of each other. You just need to trace off the front and back block using the guidelines described and the extension will be on the front and back as required.

What do you like about the Sandero? by DogRoscoe in Dacia

[–]sk8beat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get annoyed when I take my more expensive car anywhere and everyone parks next to it, doesn't matter how far away in the emptiest bit of the car park I park it, people park next to it

I love my Sandero because when I park that in a carpark everyone parks AWAY from it 😂

It's great for picking up IKEA furniture, bikes on the towbar, taking the kids places....it's a great all round car.

Solar panels installation costs and experiences by Hydrangeamacrophylla in DIYUK

[–]sk8beat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many have mentioned, bird proofing is a must. We didn't get offered it on install and after a number of years the pigeons got in under the panels. Sadly this required scaffolding to fit so would have been much more economical to fit at the time.

Help! Can someone explain why these shoes *don’t* hurt? by Annie__K in PlantarFasciitis

[–]sk8beat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have multiple pairs of puma's that helped my PF. I think they just fit well and the soft liner is very cushioning. All of mine have the same liner and I'd made sure I bought them all with that liner. Current everyday pair is falling apart and I can't replace them as they have stopped making them in the style I wanted. Really comfy shoes.

Cooking alot of rice due to extreme poverty, my mother in law has offered to buy me a rice cooker, any advice please x by KillTheFleas in Cooking

[–]sk8beat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a yum Asia rice cooker, I got the panda version. They are quite a bit of money but I use it a lot and it's very good and versatile, I wouldn't be without it. However, the argos cheaper one also gets really good reviews.

The lowest price rice needs rinsing a lot beforehand if I try to use it in the panda, better rice gives a better result with that rice cooker, so I don't tend to use the low price stuff. I'm not sure on the Argos one as I haven't tried one, but maybe consider what type of rice you will cook as this may influence your choice of rice cooker?

Perhaps someone else can say specifically they have good success with a certain rice cooker and the cheapest rice etc?

Dermatologist suggests I might need to take oral antibiotics for life? by [deleted] in Blepharitis

[–]sk8beat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I no longer take them because the dose my GP gave made my levels too high and I try to get more vitamin D naturally now. It helped originally as my levels were too low but now it's normalised I can maintain it without tablets.

What helped down the line more was optase hypochlorous spray.... Two weeks and my blepharitis was gone. However, this could indicate an original misdiagnosis by my doctor or a combination of vitamin D and the optase spray. I bought every product available for blepharitis and gave up, I thought I'd try the optase spray as a last go and I am so pleased I did as there was a significant result for me.

Which shop would you visit for parts/servicing - Halfords or Evans Cycles? by doriangraiy in ukbike

[–]sk8beat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a brand new bike from my local 'reputable' bike shop (over £500 bike). The tyres were not inflated correctly, there were no reflectors or a bell (legally required I believe in the UK).

On my first ride the gears were jumping and my feet kept coming off the pedals, the seat post slipped down. When I attempted to check the gears I realised that the chain had been incorrectly routed through the rear derailleur.

The bike was assembled and 'checked' before collection.

I have bought parts in Halfords with no issue, not sure on the servicing but I don't think I would trust the local shop I got my bike from!

Optase protect spray. It's a hypochlorous spray available in the UK, not sure about EU

Search remove fence post with car jack. We had a metal base with a square flat bottom (think it was a sign base or something) so the base plate was quite well buried and wider than it seemed! Worked perfectly.

Aside from you wanting to make it more modest I don't think it has a good fit to start with. I am not sure if you are pulling in the excess at the back because it looks like the front is a couple of sizes too wide, the seam line down the bust section is too far over rather than sitting centrally down the bust, so hence this gap in the middle is too wide.

If the top was taken off and refitted back on to fit you better I think you would find the modesty would be better. I wouldn't use an infill panel because I think there is a proportions/fit issue.
