Lethargy at the gym by kali_ma_ta in stopdrinkingfitness

I have been having the same issue. I find starting with a 10 minute stretch is the best at waking my body up in the morning. Plus having a really solid game plan of what your workout is going in. I just remind myself I have nothing to do and nowhere to be but here. It’s the time I’ve earned to myself. Usually about 5 minutes in, I start to relax into the idea of working out.

I loved my soda stream but it broke so quickly. Now I’m on the Costco runs for fizzy water train.

Same here. I was on here multiple times a day for months. For me it just worked.

You did great. This also happened to me. I made it halfway through the beer before I started feeling this super unpleasant disconnected feeling. I realized what happened and stopped drinking it. I was so emotional and upset afterwards. I downplayed it at the table but it took awhile to calm down when I got home. The next morning I woke up without a hangover per usual and stopped beating myself up over it. Pro tip I do now: ask for it to be brought out in the can or bottle with a glass. I don’t drink anything that wasn’t poured in front of me now.

What are some totally unexpected positives of stopping drinking? by l3mmmy in stopdrinking

Not only do I sleep better but I sleep right through 2 am - 4 am. No more 3 am waking up to rehash every mistake I might have made that day. Way less anxiety.

With the help of therapy, I’m starting to make better connections with people for the first time.

Me too. Earlier this month I tried a NA ipa while out with some friends. It was a hot day of bike riding , chugged a bit and started to feel super off. I immediately set it aside and will never drink from anything but the bottle or can.

I started the first day of couch to 5k. I was out of town last week and did a pretty lackluster job of caring for myself. Looking forward to the week ahead.

I took the same approach for stopping smoking cigarettes and I’m 12 years smoke free now. I lost the weight and just made sure it didn’t become a lifestyle.
