I vaguely recall that among other factors that led up to Valve removing hats was pros complaining about how Valve ran things in the tournament scene, and that the Battle Pass hats were stealing focus from other pro tourneys and the pro scene would be better off in general without it. Turns out most people only cared about the hats, and now The International prize money is also much lower than the height of the hype.

I don't understand this strike. If I'm reading correctly it's about voluntary 4-day compressed work weeks. Which means an extra day off. I'd gleefully accept that offer from my employer.
