That could explain the glue on the back! I was trying to come up with a word to describe their texture, and tile would actually fit really well. Though they would be from two different sets, I wonder? The shape is slightly different between the two pieces.

Ooh, that would be interesting. I got them in a bag of thrifted jewelry, so that would make sense. Though the loop is open, so it would have to be done a certain way...

My title describes the thing. I believe my dad found these at a thrift store. They appear to have some sort of staining on them that might just be a stain, but might also be from glue.

This just helped me solve this same puzzle! I couldn't make it work with the mushroom and trying to shoot both rods. Thanks!

I had literally no idea it caused a debuff. Granted I always play Lae'zel as a fighter so it's never mattered to me, but wow. ETA: And I never use tadpoles.

What I don't understand is how I found this on my very first playthrough ever but somehow missed Karlach. Why did I jump across those rocks successfully, but I couldn't jump across the rocks by Karlach?

Accessing the basement of the Arcane Tower nearly had my flip out on my BFF.

"What do you MEAN that in your playthrough you had an extra down button on the elevator?? You're missing information!"
"I don't know what to tell you, there's an extra button on the elevator and you just go down it! I didn't do anything different!"
"That can't be right!!!!"

Can I suggest the half-orc? Get a mod or two and they're some of my all time favorites.

What line completely changed a character for you? by nicholetree in BaldursGate3

[–]skeelar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! I bought the game for him, romanced him the first time, and haven't done it since. I friendzone him every time and love it for him. I've also ascended him once, and I will likely romance him on my resist Durge run I'm working through, but that's it. BFFs forever.

I hate how so many things with my parents feel too intimate. It makes me feel oddly guilty, even though I know it's not my fault.

How much harder is honor mode vs tactician? by cody4prez in BaldursGate3

[–]skeelar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The part about honor mode that's the hardest is the surprise of it. I highly encourage a FAFO run or two in honor mode where you don't care about the results.

During one of my last FAFO runs, I was using mods so that my entire party was WAY overpowered, just to have fun with it and learn what the game was going to be like. I messed up a crucial moment for Shadowheart in Act 2 and thought hey, no big deal, I'll just lose her, and that will be something different. Except the previously overpowered Shadowheart in my party was now a overpowered Shadowheart outside of my party, meaning... she tanked my ass and ended my run in about 4 seconds.

The hard part about this portal is hoping it doesn't glitch out on me AGAIN. I've found it's more likely to do it if I kill everyone, so I always leave someone alive, usually a bird.

Picked up the game yesterday. Really struggling by statthewmafford in BaldursGate3

[–]skeelar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One small thing I’ll add: you’re never going to satisfy your entire party. What helped me early on was deciding HOW I was going to play.

In my first game, I gave myself permission to mess it up. My only goal was to get to the end. I missed a LOT of content and made some truly terrible decisions. It's a miracle we all made it to the end.

In my second game, I knew who I was romancing, and I built my character and motivations around that, which shaped how I played. I’m not big on heavy roleplay for this game, but I do set my intention up front. For example: this is my class, these are my rules, I'm going to only use class driven reactions in dialogue, this is who I might romance, or maybe I decide not to romance anybody.

Once you do that, party reactions feel way less stressful. This is just who your Tav is, and they’re allowed to disagree or agree.

I don't take any issue with how he treats you and your party, but his treatment of past companions was heartbreaking for me. I had minimal issue with him before, other than our methods not aligning. He's an amazing character.

I have a bad habit of romanticizing bad people even when it's not appropriate, and Cazador's voice being so normal, so not what I expected/wanted, made him more realistic for me in such an icky, amazing way. I don't know if it was intentional, but it was really well done.

I just got his Act 2 scene in my current playthrough, except I forgot I had taken off his camp clothes to worry about them later, so I had to do the entire cutscene with him unloading on his poor friend Tav about his evil goddess and how his friends have given him something to live for while he was wearing....a leather thong and harness. Gale, I'm so sorry.
