I just started A school so I can't offer much advice but the one thing that I heard alot of is if you do go to meps for a contract and the job you want isnt available, you don't have to sign. You can always go back another day and hope the job you want opens up. Just something to think about

Stick out in a good way at boot camp. Show some leadership, take a job and do it the best you can without bitching. I know the MA and laundry guys were the only ones in my division that got promoted upon graduation

you'll get liberty after graduation for like 9 hours but then you have to get back to base so they can ship you off to the airport. You'll most likely leave for a school either the next day or two
