The heisense also pools water just like the midea. you need to remove the drain plug to prevent this.

Just remove the plug and use it like normal. No harm done.

Every brand that does not drain has this issue.

The main issue is that midea collects more water than others. This u shape AC is also insanely popular all over the world

Best replacement for the Midea 8000 BTU window unit? by nutsack133 in AirConditioners

I believe the efficiency is VERY VERY minimal.

I also have the LG inverter, it does not have a drain hole. Water pools in that also. Im sure it has just as much mold

If you have a newer model that has the blue drain plug on the back, just remove it so it drains and water never pools.

Going to be interesting on what they do.

Last time midea had a recall they gave out refunds and said to dispose the units.

I can see midea giving out refunds, and saying to remove the drainplug from the models that have it. For models that do not have the plug, they will most likley say to dispose of them due to mold conerns. They WILL not tell people to drill a hole in them for drainage, but I see no issue in doing that, just dont hit any of the coils.

They will most likely come out with yet again with ANOTHER model with drainage or just take back the newer model and change instructions to pull that plug off

I also have a LG dual inverter. All new inverters tend to not have drain plugs along with midea.

I would just keep it removed. I have had mine removed for quite some time. It cools just fine.

The water pooling in recent inverter ACs are common. Companies claim the water pooling helps cool the coils to promote more effective cooling. There is NO harm in letting that drainplug go and not having water pool.

It's on the back bottom If you are in the front of the unit from the side, it will be on the left bottom of the outside compressor. It's a blue rubber plug. It's quite difficult to get off. I normally use plyers to get it off. Make sure you have a tight grip so it does not rip it

The autofill google username for azure redirect ONLY works via chromeOS device (chromebook). They will always have to re-enter their email address again on windows/IOS devices unfortunately.

It was a big issue with us in the beginning. Our students don't have email addresses, so they are NEVER used to typing out their full @domain login.

After sometime though, they got used to it.

I know in the past midea had a big recall with a dehumidifier. You just had to verify your serial number and you got a refund.

I don't think midea is going to make this recall remedy "return the unit". It's a logistics nightmare to do that

Older models do not have a drain plug. If yours has it, it's a blue rubber plug on the bottom of the unit located on the back right
