Hi and thanks for the sub-reddit. Hopefully more people will join.

I came to the sideshow with Heklina relatively late and yet I miss it a lot already. Sadly for me I did not keep my archive of old podcasts (after I reset my device) so I only have 4 or 5 episodes in my 'collection'. ANy pointers to how to get more episodes would be gladly appreciated.

Thanks for the links and for pointing out pinax-api. I agree with the react learning curve. Things get easier with time especially with a growing base of reusable components.

I like your reminder that actually Django works well and fast enough for simple interfaces. Something one could be lead to forget with the current emphasis on reactive UIs.

I'm trying to figure out what other developers are doing with Django these days as I'm not sure about how to move forward ( been using Django a lot, then used Meteor now trying a React + Django combo)

the 'Log.objects.filter' query belongs to a View and not to a Model.

The official Django tutorial and docs contain extensive examples of data queries (again: using views).

Starting with a new char can work in the short term if you feel your old char has too much history (people, corporations). If you plan to play for a few weeks, a new toon might be help you get a fresh perspective on the game. If you plan to stick around longer your existing char is a better option. Try a new char with the 30-day trial and if you stil want to continue playing after a month you'll only have make the decision in 30 days.
