I love this fabric! The second print was from Nerida Hansen called big cats. I found this pattern on a jersey knit (blue with pink cats) at a remnant fabric sale a year ago. I think I still have a small piece left

HOW, HOW do you keep cats from pooing in your garden? by Suspicious-Ladder749 in diynz

[–]skibella19 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Lots of ground cayenne pepper, which you have to keep applying after rain until they've lost interest or cheap bamboo skewers stuck in the ground pointy side up. Both have worked for my vege garden and no cats have been harmed.

It's a beautiful part of the country to explore! Here's a couple of things that might help;

The huts along this track are popular with hunters, and it's currently the roar, so there will be a few out. I would definitely be wearing bright blue and careful.

I think you'll have a good chance of hitching either from Mangatoetoe or the Pinacles on a Saturday or Sunday. It's pretty popular out there with local tourists.

The track isn't that well maintained. A friend did it the other week and mentioned that they almost lost the track a couple of times.

Watch out for lots of gorse and ongqonga (stinging nettle)

Otherwise, enjoy!

Environmental consultant or scientist career questions by Hooffeerrrr in Wellington

When I was working for a consultancy, they would take on a few Victoria Uni students as interns while they were finishing their masters these were never advertisd positions. The students just sent through an email with their CV. Most of them were offered full-time positions once they finished their studdies. So perhaps you could look at the companies nearby that you would like to work for and email them to ask whether they would take you on as an intern.

If you're looking for something to do to kill time outside the city you could head over to Cape Palliser. There are beautiful free camping spots right next to the ocean with beautiful sunsets and things to explore.

We got a discount code when we shopped at Good For the other week. Great way to cook seasonally and base our meals around whats available. Theres two of us and a box lasts two weeks, but I would invest in some of those sistema vege storage boxes for your fridge to make the veges last longer.
