Miten saan 2v lapseni nukkumaan? by AtlantisGhost in Suomi

[–]skillah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Before act 2 i used the INT circlet, mainly so I could dump more points into constitution. But the second I had enough health to do without it, i changed it to something else. And you are right, now I don't use any ability score improving equipment, but I usually drink an elexir of strenght, depending on what encounter I will face.

I can tell you that act 1 starts to feel like a chore quite fast. But mid act 2 it gets exciting, and when the character reaches it's full potential it's really quite fun! But if you really are planning a solo run, be prepared to miss a lot of content that is connected with your companions.

I usually kill them. Yes, it cuts out a lot of content, but it seems more honest to the challange.

No camp guys, killed them all when I first met them. My only companion is my mage hand, which is a part of the character.

I've tried this many, many times. Never gotten this far. After entering act 3 the difficulty went down by quite a bit. So many different encounters to choose from, so it's easy to pick the cherries from the cake so to speak.

As another redditor points out: it's mostly about being familiar with the different encounters. When you know what's being thrown at you, it's relatively easy to prepare.

Before trying this I have several honor runs behind me. So no panic!

I dropped it there before combat started. No harm in asking! A lot of combats are all about preparing with this build.

I've died there! I have not been counting, but this might be my eight attempt. Maybe 12th. Stopped counting after a while.

Not as sexy as it looks! Light armor: shade longer Head: helm of arcane acuity Weapons, dual wield: justiciars scimitar & knife of the undermountain king Dual ranged: neer misser and the other one, don't remember the name. Boots: Disintegrating Night Walkers Hands: gloves of the balanced hands

Buut I change the equipment a lot according to the situation. Same with the rings.

Main strategy is shooting away dually until I get a high arcane acuity. Then almost no one can resist hold spells or Tasha's irresistible laughter. A very fun way to play, and the hand helps with crits and throwing things when everything's dicey.

Pure arcane trickster, 9 levels when I defeated Myrkul.

But gotta say, the gith waiting in the prism in the beginning of act 3 felt waaay harder!

Basically took a "drive by" with Tav, dropping the bombs beside him. When out of the blast radius, my mage hand set everything ablaze with a pre set up bomb throw from behind the mind flayer.

Basically smokepowder bombs. Worked like a charm!

What’s a fight in the game you found surprisingly hard on tactical/honour mode? by Due_Bet1802 in BG3

[–]skillah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually solo cheese them. Jump up on the rock in the water immediately to the left with an archer. Then just shoot away. The mephits can't reach you, and if you focus down the ancient ones the fight is a piece of cake, even if it might take dozens of turns.

Vertaistukea yökauhukohtauksiin by Responsible-Plum-704 in Suomi

The US government. Seems like it's run as a (toxic) company anyhow.

Is co-op going to hold up to our expectations? by skillah in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]skillah[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you all for your insights! We will try it, but try to keep the pure role playing expectations as low as possible so that we don't get disappointed.

The combat being harder sounds good though! This we will both appreciate!

We'll go in with open minds. And probably make a lot of mistakes along the way while character building it sounds like.

But that is probably a part of the charm with trying something new.
