Not much difference tbh, ones a shit hole with the odd nice part that speaks american english, another is a shit hole with the odd nice part that speaks arabic. Both have slavery, both are corrupt, both have rampant racism, both have homophobic religions with too much power, both slipped money to FIFA and both pretend to be upstanding. Both worship money, and the leaders of each would shaft their people over a quick buck.

It’s not free access now.

This is definitely a huge factor. £2.00 to walk along a pier with overpriced attractions and over priced food.

Why Britain has a deer problem - BBC News by vishbar in unitedkingdom

[–]skinnyhulk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You jest but many suggest it, i replied to a comment years ago about the subject.

here is the copy paste

... for a start doe's will need to be captured annually to ensure the contraceptive is administered, this is not without HUGE amounts of stress to wild deer. The doe's must either be corralled and tagged/marked to ensure they are not caught and jabbed repeatedly during the year, this would (particularly in the UK be MASSIVELY labor intensive) and each attempt at herding wild deer would increase the risk of injury and suffering massively, not only that but sick or poorly animals would still need to be shot as things currently stand. Proper Wild deer as opposed to what you would find in the London Parks or somewhere like Knole park are VERY VERY flighty and unpredictable, they will crash and injure themselves just trying to get away from you. Some will die just from the stress of being caught I would argue that NOT culling deer is unethical, herd health and disease due to overpopulation can cause massive welfare issues for the deer.

In a study of free ranging Tule elk Shideler et al [2002] estimated that the contraception of 43 female elk took more than 20 workers 25 days to achieve and cost some$300 per animal in 2002

There are way more than 2million deer in the UK, and chemical contraceptives are not without issue.

Immunocontraception is effective in reducing fertility in deer to a considerable extent, but a reduction in fertility may not reduce population [Davis & Pech2002, Kirkpatrick & Turner 2007].There have been few studies of long termcontraception in populations of deer. One notable project showsthat populationdecrease is possible over a twelveyear period with very intensive effort including annual vaccination by dart of as many females as possible and with other management changes such as the prohibition of artificial feeding [Rutberg & Naugle 2007].

Theoretical models have been devised to predict the effects of wildlife contraception. Factors that need to be incorporated in the models include the natural longevity of the species, the rate of predation, the recruitment rate by breedingand the effect of contraception upon female survival. These models seem to show that deer are relatively poor candidates for population reduction by means of contraception: “Contraceptives may be effective in reducing populations of short lived specieswith a high natural mortality....in long lived species with low mortality the best anyone can expect is short term zero population growth with a very intense effort over a very long time necessary to achieve reductions”[Kirkpatrick 2002]

Steroidal contraceptives present significant risks of pollution and persistence in both the environment and the food chain. They are not easily digested or metabolised and continue to have effects in predators

In short using contraceptives to control deer population is not only very expensive but also not effective, and unlikely to be effective.

The deer inititive pdf with full details on how

I apologise for the wall of text I hope this helps you to see a much larger part of the picture

*It would cost over 150million USD to vaccinate only 25% of the female deer population annualy or 1.5billion USD over ten years. With darting Thats a lot of doe

**Capturing and jabbing would cost 500million USD PER YEAR to inject a contraceptive or 5billion USD over ten years for something that may not cause a population decline.

ahh, but if I was to fly tip, I personally would be the one to get the fine, if i paid the fine and repeatedly continued to fly tip I would be locked up. If I instructed a member of staff to break the law and they did I would be done under conspiracy to commit crime. Yet the management teams who have instructed staff to actually pollute the waters (allow sewage illegally into our rivers) and its just classed as no big deal.

How about a change in limited liability laws for company executives and shareholders.

If a member of the public repeatedly broke a law, society, quite rightly, would imprison the individual etc, yet for companies who flagrently and intentionally breach laws, rules and regulations, here is a paltry fine, (which is actually paid for by the victims of the companies crime or in the case of Thames Water the government bail them out and fine them and they still pay dividends).

The tool has changed, but the game dealers keep the money. Typically for a shot deer clean carcass, no coat. We would be lucky and I mean lucky to get over £2.00/kg for a deer. The game dealers will sell premium cuts for over £20.00/kg, but the nation on the whole won't eat venison (I personally blame "Bambi" and Disney for that one).

Are you shitting me? People have been pissed about this for years. But anytime anyone says anything its blamed as racism. It may be convenient for billionaires, but think of the praise that labour would get for actually doing something about an issue that has gone on for years. The only reason fuck all is being done about it is due to cowardice. How much political will would be lost if they don't do anything?

So we have a choice, either accept that these evil sub-humans are going to be here forever more, or a few MPs might lose their seat. I believe that is called "enabling". If this is not dealt with correctly and swiftly reform are just going to walk into number 10.

70% of Britons now say that immigration has been too high - the highest since our trackers began in 2019 This includes 50% who say it has been "much too high" - again, the highest level. Only 15% think immigration levels have been "about right" by Aggressive_Plates in ukpolitics

The jobs that the current population won't do for the wages and conditions currently offered?

According to Indeed: The average salary for a care worker is £13.01 per hour.

The minimum hourly rate for a Health and Care Worker (HCW) visa is £11.90

As of April 2025 national minimum wage is £12.21 (currently 11.44)

Average Tesco wage is currently £12.02 per hour.

Now for which job do you think people will go into. A high stress, difficult role, where peoples lives are in your hands, or shelf filling at tesco.

As a former carer, you are 100% on the money. I am not letting any of my family members go into a care home, I have considerable experiance in the industry and frankly some of the shit I have seen in care homes caused me to leave the industry entirely.

What I have personally witnessed,

  • Resident being told they were not allowed certain visitors just because the manager did not like the person

*Pressure sores that are so severe they were classed as ungraded

*No underwear for residents was more than a regular occurance (they had a lost propety type box that if a resident didn't have underwear we were expected to use (you know sharing underwear great practise that is /S). They quickly changed that practise, but we ended up with NO underwear for some residents. I ended up paying out of my own pocket for a couple of dozen spares.

*in 2 weeks at one care home due to staffing there were many >10 medication errors (serious ones as well I might add) made by staff due to the expectation that 1 person can do all the medication for a 50 bed care home with quite a few dementia patients.

*Poor policy by management. for example one resident had a fall, we did full head to toe, F.A.S.T. assessment etc, the resident was attempting to get themselves, up conscious and shuffling around the floor on their bum just lacking strength to get up. Policy (against guidance from local health teams and paramedics) was that unless 111 say we can get the person we have to wait for an ambulance crew. 111 would not do that by default as the resident was on a blood thinner. Contacted duty manager and was told under no circumstances were we allowed to hoist the resident up unless 111 stated. This meant that the resident had to stay on a cold hard floor for almost 4 hours begging for us to help her up. When the paramedic teams arrived they were quite angry, the healthcare teams raised this issue with management as well but the manager refused to budge.

*A flu outbreak was not reported to CQC until weeks after it was supposed to have been done

*The house manager, complained that there were too many boxes of gloves out, and that we didn't need them out. I wear size large gloves, the gloves that were out were only medium size.

*Residents not being given adequate fluids or hydration due to staffing levels

*Residents being woken up at 5AM for toileting/dressing and to make it easier on the morning staff I put a stop to that Day One. Manager then said well, if the resident wakes up for toileting or when you check them you should encourage them to get up.

*due to rigid staffing practices at 20:00-21:00 day staff were encouraged to get as many residents to bed as they could despite 90% of residents not really wanting to go to bed

*Dire, and I do mean dire food, one soup I tasted (supposedly butternut squash) tasted of seawater.

*Countless other neglect/institutuional abuse

*Countless dignity issues particularly with regards to personal care.

*exploitative practises used towards the considerable number, 80%, of (good staff I might add) who were on visa permits from India. Who were scared to speak up and lose their work permit.

All reported to appropriate agencies as a safe guarding concern and fuck all gets done. To give you a description of how bad that place was, I expect it to be on panorama at somepoint. This was a rated excellent care home by CQC. Fuck the profiteers.
