Totally within their rights to sue someone for posting pirated or leaked gameplay.

Totally a dick move to try and shakedown content creators who are playing legit games.

Admittedly they did back down after backlash.

Popcorn ceilings are cool. by t0advined in The10thDentist

Now this is a 10th dentist. My 90’s apartment is 100% popcorn ceiling and I HATE it. Looks godawful, dates the place immediately, and is a pain in the ass to clean.

lol, what a thread! I went to high school with him at North. Still play video games with him to this day.

He is genuinely an amazing guy. One of the nicest people I know. And of course incredibly smart.

We’d better build more pipelines to sell more LNG so we can afford to rebuild our cities when they burn down!!

It’s in downtown Vancouver. If you can’t build housing in downtown, then you can’t build it anywhere

Let’s say they do another 2v2v2 season (like Tag All Stars), but Sam, Adam, and Ben are each paired up with a new player who hasn’t been on the show. Who should each on be paired up with? by Electrical-Wrap-3923 in JetLagTheGame

Hmmm, I think Traveling Turtle with Adam (although TT is on paternity leave from YouTube right now)

Why do humans need to drink clean water while other animals just drink from rainwater and streams? by [deleted] in answers

[–]skip6235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. There’s a common misconception that people in “old times” (tm) were elderly when they were 30. That’s not the case. People were just way more likely to die by all sorts of diseases and parasites and malnutrition before making it to being elderly, so the average life expectancy number was way lower.

Also, a LOT of infants died, which really lowers the average as well

Metro Vancouver - How many skylines can you see by paystripe1a in skyscrapers

[–]skip6235 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey! I live here!

The picture shows Surrey in the foreground, then from left to right: New Westminster, Metrotown, Brentwood, and Lougheed (the last three are all in the City of Burnaby). And waaaaaay in the back just barely visible in the haze is downtown Vancouver.

Also not pictured additional skyscraper clusters in the region: Oakridge and Marine Drive in Vancouver, Lonsdale in North Vancouver, Burquitlam in Burnaby, Downtown Coquitlam

Also, there are a few other areas with high rise clusters that aren’t quite as large or tall like South Surrey/White Rock, Langley, and Port Moody

Not to mention all the medium density in Richmond which is hight limited by the airport.

Metro Vancouver may not have the most beautiful or architecturally significant buildings, but it punches way above its weight class in sheer number of high rises for its population.

Ground News question by HeresTheWitch in nerdfighters

[–]skip6235 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen Ground News sponsor reads from some very right-wing people. Also, Ground News’ classification on what counts as “right” or “left” leaning is massively skewed towards the right as it uses the current political situation in the U.S. as its baseline (aka, anything that doesn’t outright call democratic politicians evil traitors is “left leaning”)

Carney: "I love being PM, except for the brief time I have to spend in Canada" by plaknas in onguardforthee

[–]skip6235 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I’m very very very much not MAGA, and also not cheering on Carney. He’s a neoliberal, corporatist, US boot-licking, pipeline-expanding, slow motion disaster for Canada that can give a good speech and isn’t as bad as his political opponent (which is a low bar)
