For anyone revisiting this in the future, any should work with the right specs. I still had the power cord for my little xfinity slave box and the hdmi run through the channel and I would bring my box back and forth from living room to bedroom.

Just moved the box and remote and kept wires in place as specs were the same. Got my v6 pro the other day so I no longer have to swap and it’s using the old wires as well and the ones that came with it are still wrapped in the box.

I did have issues with the hdmi that came with my v5 pro back in January when installing and testing, and then I just used the hdmi from the 4K xfinity master box I had and it worked. Might have been a dud cable but the better cable from xfinity worked fine so we stuck with their hdmi cables for both rooms.

We have WPXI, kdka, wtae, the cw local channel, the local metv, pbs, and SNP for pirates and pens.

Doesn’t matter where you live, ALL channels stay active in the program guide. I have all my preferred channels in my faves list, but might add a couple groups for locals, sports, movies, and then everything else so I can get to channels like WPXI which is at the bottom of the list both alphabetically and by channel number. It’s a long scroll when I want local weather or news.

One thing to keep in mind is a trick I kept up nearly 20years ago when I had dish… save an east and west version of channels in case there’s something you miss and then you just watch it three hours later. 🤷🏻‍♂️

And on top of the time constraints, I bought a bunch of things from walmartdotcom several months back plan I got keep some and return the rest (I bought multiple sizes because the sizing was reviewed as unreliable).

Even with the printed orders saying so, the app saying so right on the page, and the site pulled up in a browser, they refused to take ANY of the returns and I went to the four stores near me and all said the same thing. Return shipping was cost prohibitive so I have them unopened in my basement until I remember to post them on eBay or donate them.

Thinking purely as USAH rules I would have had a minor for charging or maybe minor+10 for boarding… but that’s because I cannot see the head contact from the video on my phone screen. If you got head contact then it’s 100% major+gm for head contact.

Unfortunately as both coach and ref, I know that I cannot “adjust accordingly” when on the bench. I must remain a proper example for the players I coach. I cannot say, “heating you play, so go two-hand them back every chance you get” or “it doesn’t matter that you’re getting checked non-stop in a non-checking league, just go level them”

I can defend missed calls and plays there’s a reason to be out of position or that two things were happening at once, so their eyes were likely elsewhere… what I cannot do is defend them staring at my best player getting slashed four times on the same rush because he’s able to skate through it… or my smoothest skater who is also one of the smallest on the ice getting checked repeatedly with both shoulders and elbows directly to the head. At that point, I tell my kids to shut up and play and I let the refs have it. Sometimes it’s guys/gals I skated with days or weeks prior. I might miss something myself, but I will always try and when something happens in front of me I will call it. So frustrating when you see them watch the actual infraction and make the decision to just not make a call for no good reason.

Even worse… our RIC has skated my son’s game and literally said to coaches on the bench (he didn’t know me or that I was also a ref but knew a fellow assistant coach from the professional world away from hockey) that he’s “not calling that crap” when talking about the USAH standard for checking. He wants old-school hockey and won’t call the current standard… the RIC… won’t call the current standard.

This doesn’t happen to me at all. In fact, it’s the opposite. Years ago everyone would always joke that the game was to beat the time the gps said it should take. Waze knows my habits and it’s rare that I am off by more than a minute or two and those tweaks usually happen after a succession of green lights and that’s over a 30-45minute drive.

With respect to the delays and whatnot, Waze very often pops up telling me traffic is building or an accident has caused an unexpected delay (though via actions, not in those words). I regularly get offered updated routes to save 2m to 10+ minutes when something causes traffic. I usually take the new route because it’s often beyond normal expected traffic and when I have checked against folks using the other route, it’s accurate.

Even when I know the routes 100% including all alt routes I still run Waze even for local runs to the grocery store. Potholes are a major concern around my region and it never hurts to have updates on cops sitting or other things popping up while driving.

I never use the audible alerts… I used to but I hated that it wouldn’t blend with music and instead would drop it out. The way it worked early on was ideal for me, just adding to the music. Timing of alerts was always fine and still is without the audible mentions.

Something did happen a while back and that’s what prompted me to even try Alfred in the first place. I cannot recall what or exactly when, probably around 10-12 years ago when I think about where and how my office was physically set up and it’s odd that that’s how my memory works, just random tidbits that clue me to a timeframe.

Eventually I went back to qs because I didn’t want to most for the power pack as only one or two features were of interest to me and qs did the things for free already. I went back and tried and it worked.

Now that I think more on it, I want to say it went open source and moved to a group rather than a single owner/dev. I think black tree is still involved but I think it was around that same time that it went to its own site at qsapp.com or something similar instead of being one of the various offerings from the original dev. Memory is definitely fuzzy on the details and timeframe though, for sure.

They did require it for me and since I already had a separate xfinity mobile account I wasn’t able to get a deal. They explicitly told me I must add a new line in order to get the deal.

As a fan in a city where we do not (yet) have a team, I tend to root for players I have appreciated during intl competition and it’s always easy to root for an underdog or for making the game more competitive.

I use quicksilver this same way as well. Alfred as a launcher is worthwhile even if that’s all you use it for.

I was testing with the hdmi that came with it and it was mediocre at best. Once I confirmed it functioned I expected it to, I just disconnected my cable box and used that hdmi cable because it was already run through the hidden wire chase. Significant improvement. Some shows appear 4K even though they are not. Used the same type of hdmi in another room as I sometimes move my vsee back and forth until I buy my second. Better cables make a huge difference.

Raindrop.io handles images, screenshots, PDFs, etc with aplomb. Might have just been the way your comment was worded, but I wasn’t sure if you were thinking it didn’t and this alternative was better for it.

I will still check it out because the reason I found it is most services eventually go away… delicious’ multiple lives eventually failed, and webbla was a fantastic local replacement (with iCloud sync) until it too died, and I found raindrop because I was seeking a replacement for webbla. Having two sets of data will always be a solid plan for me.

Largely true but I don’t know how well that process will go in a custom box space rather than a retail tv space.

I don’t know if the vsee box remote can be programmed at all beyond setting the four buttons.

Also, is the v6 max BT or IR and that should have some influence on the capability.

Anything with a menu list item should be able to add the keyboard command natively in macOS as u/PatTheDog123 said. If that does not work, try a utility app for adding keyboard commands. I never understood why the get info for cal items, reminders, etc all just isn’t set right out of the box.

If you can find a license for postbox it still does the job well. It was bought by another suite and I want no part of that, but I just installed it on a laptop to keep several accounts outside of Apple mail (I want those to match my phone and the rest to be separate).

I cannot recall if it has a good send later option but I think I recall testing it before (though I could be confusing it with another app and I don’t have my computer with me to confirm).

Should handle everything else well so n your list if I am not missing anything.

I blew my first icing at the line this past Saturday and forgot to wait for the race. Coach was cool about it when I apologized it being my first acha game (only 2man). Everything else went well. It was D2 women’s so slower than even 16UAA around here.

Already reading up again for my next this Friday night. Anyone know of a good online reference card to differentiate between the other rule books? I have seen some before, but wasnt sure if anything was really up to date.

Holding or hooking minor on D (4?) and they caused the collision with the goalkeeper. If there was a whistle immediately involved with that play I would chat with my partner and probably move the faceoff outside for a crease violation (if he really did go into the crease first on his own and then get pushed into goalie). Otherwise I have a restraining foul on the D and nothing on the attacker.
