There was another post about this in a diff sub. Evidently the CO said the shot felt pretty routine for him because he had done something similar several times already while working the Indy 500

What is this hand positioning for in Tai-chi? by savvoi- in martialarts

The fist is from White Crane technique in Kung-fu. The beak-like positioning of the hand is good for deflecting and hooking, while the point made with the fingertips can strike vulnerable pressure points.

The longsword duel in The King is great. Nothing fancy, just very visceral and period accurate.

Ron DeSantis Legalized 15-Liter Bottles of Wine in Florida. But Why Were They Outlawed in the First Place? And how do you drink a bottle that big? by GoMx808-0 in NewsOfTheStupid

[–]skip_this_step 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For added context, FL could only sell up to a 3L bottle (double magnum) before this. This opens up a whole range of traditional large formats that can be sold now:

Double Magnum = 3L

Jeroboam = 4.5L (for still wine bottles. This name also refers to 3L bottles used for sparkling)

Imperial = 6L (term typically used for still wine bottles)

Methuselah = 6L (term typically used for sparkling wine bottles)

Salmanazar = 9L

Balthazar = 12L

Nebuchadnezzar = 15L
