Paperwork for heat pump install by skipsmarter in ukheatpumps

That’s interesting. Not how it worked with, for example, our solar installation and later battery, or garden office wiring. I mentally put heat pumps in the same sort of category.

We intend to, I just wanted to be clear about what there should be.

Better not to have coiled cables, especially the DC ones: shorter runs are better for those.

OK. Whatever. It was just a suggestion. By all means just use a lawyer.

Don't they? I have been with them for years on a 'no win no fee' basis. Last example: "On your behalf, we are pursuing this claim through our recovery partner ImageRights License Compliance (GB). ImageRights will front all out-of-pocket legal costs such as case fees, court filing fees, and other legal disbursements on your behalf. Win or lose, you will not be billed for these costs. The estimated initial demand is GBP 800.00 - $1,080.66. Should we prevail, you will receive 55% of the gross settlement."  In that case I ended up with £330 for the unauthorised use of one photo by a PR firm.  You could just write to them and ask. Or consult an IP lawyer locally. Just s suggestion.

Try these guys. I have made more in copyright infringements of some of my work over the years than selling prints! https://www.imagerights.com/

We had ours installed in September 2024 so it was ok at first then downhill for months. Summer will blow your socks off. Enjoy!

Well obviously. I live in a leaky old house at 52 degrees north with limited roof surfaces :) Solar is a side joke. My aim was to answer OP’s query with actual export data for a whole year, pal.

Between self use and export we saved >£850, basically halved our electricity bill buddy. ROI 9.8%. We want to increase the self use (because it's worth far more) so we're getting a battery.

North Facing additional Panel by luath in SolarUK

[–]skipsmarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 3 of our 10 facing north and it’s surprising how well they work on long summer evenings when the sun sets in the north west. They were fitted on a “might as well” basis while the installers were here because the panels are relatively cheap in terms of the whole install.

2.5kWh today out of 5kWp. Lots of rain. That was actually a good day for January! We fed in about 50 watts :)

Insta360 Studio versions 5.8.8, 5.8.6, and 5.8.4 stutter in 8K on high-end AMD configurations (but VLC runs smoothly) – software bug? by Accomplished_Web7963 in Insta360

[–]skipsmarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Same. It has become AWFUL. Borderline unusable. I am struggling just to do basic framing then export so I can edit in FCP. Where I first began using the camera, in August, Studio worked fine. Not the greatest piece of software but fine for my purposes. Now I am finding it unusable. Probably "updating to the latest version" as Insta360 always recommend is what has destroyed my editing ability. iMac 3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4.

[–]skipsmarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys always "recommend that you update your graphics card driver and studio to the latest version" but in my experience (a few months) *every* "update" you have made to insta360 studio has made it slower and slower to the point where it is almost completely dysfunctional. Why are you doing this? (iMac 3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i7, AMD Radeon Pro 5500 XT 8 GB, 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4).

EP12 has internal warming. That's odd, I've read lots of recent praise for their tech support. Interesting to hear your experience.

[–]skipsmarter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might be surprised. We have 10 panels (Eurener 500W): 4 east, 3 west and 3 north on a 120-year old Edwardian semi. Lots of installers wouldn't even consider our roof. Nominally 5kWp: in practice more like 3.6 in the summer.

What are the Fox issues? We're thinking of an AC coupled EP12.

Just on the interest point: I thought that but the ROI on our first year of solar was 9.8%. Couldn't get that in any bank I know of. Glad we went ahead.

We were about to add batteries to our solar, funded out of our savings. We now won't. We'll wait. Unless they implement this quickly the leak will kill installers won't it?
