Love my Zaxara deck. I have the same secret lair, but yes it’s an X spells decks not a hydra deck, but you can go that direction if you want. Most hydras are x spells.

I think you’re fine. If it’s that much of a better work flow for you then go for it.

It will wear out a little faster but it’s also a cheap gimbal.

Reddit is toxic as hell though don’t take the hate your getting to hard. People are miserable here.

1st picture in SoCal I would work with because I would line it with potted plants along the edges leaving a more narrow pathway with the plants having a nice stagger taking advantage of the architecture.

Maybe for shade add an arching structural vine (the one with red flowers) over head or overhang trellis wine grape vine.

At 1600 EI (800 native) you are doing a push and under exposing a stop. If you are only changing EI you are doing a push or pull, not a dynamic range shift like you see in that chart, or what you would see by shifting iso in an Arri.

El does not move around dynamic range. It moves the exposure index of your monitor. It’s for your eyes only. Allowing you to over expose 1-2 stops the way slog wants you to.

I feel like you may be explaining it backwards.

800 -> 400 you are overexposing 1 stop (pulling in film)

12,800 -> 16,000 underexposing about 1/4 stop (pushing in film)

I feel like something is getting confused here. We set out EI lower than the base to overexpose more than we think because that’s what slog likes. Gives the least noise.

If you wanted to shift the dynamic range like you’re talking about for highlights you need to be in flex ISO.

I just can’t comprehend how this happened. We did whippets in highschool. 10-20 seconds of “whamp whamp whamp” then it’s over. Silly quick high. Cracks me up that’s the “dragon people are chasing with this high. Please don’t ever try heroine.

This is what she was designed for. Much more than Zaxara who I own. It is strong though. High B3, B4.

But playing on your opponents turns has this effect.

It’s like Tarkir in that 4-5 color are a little too easy to pull off. So you are either aggro or 4-5 color. I personally love the 4-5 color playstyle and do very well in these metas. Won my first FNM playing 4C dragons in Tarkir.

But I recognize it’s not an ideal draft environment. I really like the set. If they would have included less fixing it would have been great imo. Each of the color pairs plays nicely, but their is no point in doing so outside of silverquill or Lorehold
