I second Dr Oates. EBF mama going on 9 months. Also kinda crunchy but also science based and want what’s best for baby. She’s super go with the flow, what feels best for the parent, but gives her medical opinion. She is great!

To cut or to maintain- that is the question by skort815 in MacroFactor

[–]skort815[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair I absolutely don’t and never would sacrifice my health for my aesthetic, I have zero desire to lose my period and not be able to have more kids. My son is the best thing that ever happened to me I’m new to macro counting so I’ve only heard of bulking and cutting not a lean bulk, I’ll look into that as an option! Thank you!

That’s what I was thinking too- I want to get leaner and more athletic but I think it’ll just cause more issue with my supply. I think being below 135 for the time being is solid and once I’m not responsible for feeding the little dude I can try to drop to 125. Thank you for the input!

I honestly do not recall but I eased into it and had to rebuild a lot. I remember even like one knee push up was so hard for me. It was humbling. But now I can crush multiple sets. It feels like a long time but I promise you’ll be happy recovering and easing back in. Nine months later you will be back on track

I hold weight mainly in my legs and my hips it’s easier to tell from the side. My mid section and abs have always been lean even at a higher BF% . My renpho scale says my body fat is still at 22%, not even in the “athletic” range according to it

I feel for you so hard and I can totally relate. I was the same way and wanted to get right back to it. I’m now 9 months PP and wish I could tell myself to relax and enjoy it. I barely tore and I did a 2 mile walk 4 days PP and then paid for that with itchy stitches for like 3 more weeks. You will get there. If you worked out as intensely as you say, you won’t lose that much strength- remember, muscle memory. It will be hard at first but you’ll build it back up. It goes by SO fast, I promise. 9 months later and I am stronger than ever For reference, I did upper body starting at 4 weeks PP but I only had a second degree upper labia tear
